MDAY108  A long long time ago...

in a galaxy far far away...

there was once an invaluable

little bundle of code called...isnip.

Anyone who used isnip

for more than 14.3 seconds

always used it from then on.

I loved isnip

and it was a sad day for me

and every mac buddy I know

when the developer of isnip vanished.

Ever since that moment...

I've tried every clipping app there is

and nothing has come close until the day...

when I suddenly became aware of...

ClipMenu!

Talk about joy...

it's everything that isnip was and more.

Plus...it's everything that isnip wasn't.

No bloatware here...

no trying to park your car

when you just want to snip a clip.

So my dear clipper friend has reincarnated

and in its new form...

I can only say welcome back to MacEarth...

and I salute you with definitely 5 stars.

DMU  Clipboard utilities have been a bit of an obsession for me. I've been trying to find the right one since the late 90s with Copy/Paste -- which was and is confusing overkill. Several apps post-OS X would do me okay for awhile, but then I would get tired of missing this feature, or disliking the way that feature worked. I have seriously tried every single one and even own quite a few out of hastiness and bundles. But in the end, the clear winner is ClipMenu. It is nearly perfect for what I need. Fast, easy, not so many features that it becomes confusing, keeps an organized history, includes custom favorites, a configurable menu view... it's just simply awesome. I was happy to donate to the attentive and gracious author. I suggest you download this immediately, and try it. Once you love it, reward my hero with a few bucks, too!

DEMORAY  There are countless clipboard utilities available, but ClipMenu is my current favorite for two big reasons:

1). It's FREE!

2). The features offered by ClipMenu can only be compared to the more expensive clipboard alternatives. No other free clipboard app that I've tried comes close to this.

Thanks to the developer for supporting the Mac community with this excellent utility.

KKNOPP  After being a basic PTHpasteboard user for years (Author played a bait-switch game with the pricing and it's not worth $25 for basic clipboard history) I looked for another free alternative to it. I looked all over MacUpdate and found this gem. Not only does it get updated often, it's Free, and has all the features I used in PTH-pasteboard. Plus the GUI is cleaner, and more efficient.

Way to go.

DOOBIEXX  Wonderful in simplicity but uses WAY too much system resources for what it does. Needs more juice than full featured application launchers like launchbar and quicksilver. Would like to use this but if quicksilver and launchbar can do the same + a ton more is it worth to use one of them and find a use for quick launching as well...

I know it is free, thank you, I REALLY like this app and would love to switch but as of now I can't. Even though it's free I would be happy to donate if I knew it would go to the future development of this app.

????? I have this program running constantly for days on end and a quick check in Activity monitor states: 0% cpu : 6MB real memory : 32.7mb virtual memory.

DOOBIEXX  It uses more resources than the dock, cleanup, mail, preview, system preferences, textmate, activity monitor, growlhelperapp.... I could go on for hours. Don't know what your using but I have a 2.6 core 2 duo with 4gb of ram. Pretty decent and nice macbook pro, running 10.6.1 but it still takes up way to many resources on my machine...
