DESCRIPTION

Pico... Named after Pico della Mirandola (the 15th century philosopher renown for his amazing memory) Pico is a easy-to-use yet versatile and powerful database for organizing one or more libraries. By 'library' one should understand 'Collection of...': in fact you can customize the predefined labels (Name, Title, Volume, Editor etc.) so that they reflect the kind of collection you wish to built; for instance, for your collection of CDs, labels could be set to: Composer, Title, Conductor, Genre etc. for a store, labels could be set to: Product, Category, Manufacturer, Price etc.; for a hostel: Surname/Name, Address, Date of Entry, Room Number, Guardian, Fee etc., and so on and so forth.

  • Number of records recordable: no limit.
  • Data-finding: always less than one second.
  • Data-protection by password and/or enchryption.
  • Data-export/import supported.
  • Several printing options available.

NICK LO  While I can see the connection between this software and its namesake "Pico della Mirandola", the name has already been used in a well known piece of software:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pico_(text_editor)

This seems an odd thing to do after the mocking the same developers other software got:

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/30526/majordomo

For also using an already established name:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majordomo_(software)

The developer REALLY needs to Google before deciding on names. It's ridiculous to use existing and well known names like this.
