CPMAX  Snow Leopard 10.6 has broken a feature in Tone-Foo where you can double-click the loop to preview it before dragging into the play queue. I was hoping it would have been fixed in 10.6.1 but it has not.

I will investigate this further and post an update if required.

Thanks.

MISHA  This is sort of neat. Reminds me of the told tone creator on my Sony Ericsson T610.

Except for the fact that unless I'm missing something, this can only play one sound at a time... it would be better if you could have multiple tracks going, and even better if it was set up like Sony did it, with percussion, melody, etc.

As it is this is mildly fun but not really useful—if you have GarageBand, you can play with those loops and export a much higher quality ringtone directly to iTunes.

Still, thanks for the work dev!

CPMAX  Yes. I didn't want to duplicate the functionality of Garageband and create yet another multitrack recorder. Even though GB is easy to use for some I wanted to make a tool that was easy, fun to use and had a specific focus.

CPMAX  Plus, I tried to make my loops more ringtone focused and not have "ringtunes". I doubt that the GB loops are better quality than the Tone-Foo loops, just different focus.

MABOROSHI  Crashes when double-clicking to launch, (which, by the way is extremely difficult to do because the icon must not have a proper mask layer making it transparent to clicks. The only way to open it it by clicking on the name)

Here is what my crash reporter says:

CPMAX  Thanks for your comment. I am unable to reproduce this issue, however. If anyone else is having this or other issues please post a comment here. Thank you.

MABOROSHI  I should note that the icon clicks fine off of the dmg file but when copying to the desktop it gets the clicking issue.

I should note that that was tested on a G5 mac in 10.4.9.

It actually ran fine when I tried on my intel machine with 10.5.5.

CPMAX  I'm not surprised considering the requirements, as stated above, are Mac OS X 10.5. Well, now that you have it running I hope you write a glowing review :)

CPMAX  PATRIZIAF, Sorry to hear you are having issues with downloading. It seems to be working for me and others. It's important that Macupdate manages the downloads so I can track them. I'm sorry I can't be more help.

PATRIZIAF  I discovered the reason: Intego Net Barrier > Concealing information > conceal information about last visited site (my translations...). When this function is activated, I can't download your app, when I disable it I can. I repeat that I have no problems with downloading other apps (from macupdate or others... of course I didn't try all the apps...). It must be your tracking...

Bye
