THEBRIX2008  Since my last review Socialite has matured considerably - most of the glitches have been ironed out and it is now a capable Google News and Twitter reader (I don't use the other services); the second, in particular, has come on a long way.

However, it is still marred by trivial UI errors which would be easy to fix. For example:

Google Reader - the sorting of feeds appears to be random, and the top item in the popup menu against a feed is "Unsubscribe", which makes it depressingly easy to unsubscribe from a feed by accident.

Twitter - the Expand URLs option is per-tweet, which is not much help when you regularly receive hundreds of tweets.

Also, the support for protocols and third-party applications could do with expansion; there is Instapaper but no ReadItLater, for example, and the very useful Notes facility in Google Reader is not supported.

BUMBLEB  Is it me, or is this the slowest app ever? It takes more than a minute to boot on my machine.

MCCRORY  After using dozens (yes dozens) of solutions to deal with all of my social media interactions, Socialite hands down is the best. It provides an easy and intuitive way of keeping track of all of my web 2.0 based communications. For the first time, I can easily and consistently communicate across all of the different social media platforms.

The only two wants for me are:

1. Email / Mail.app Integration - This way I could use a single app for ALL communicating

2. LinkedIn Integration

SUPERMACNERD  If you they can add built in browser integration this would be a great product. I just have a hard time switching over from NNW without that feature. Otherwise user integration is great and with each release more problems solved!

HALEONEARTH  I think this is a great idea! Unfortunately it runs waaaaaay too slowly to be of any real value. Address the incessant SBODs and I'm in!

PRLAB  Interesting but utterly useless piece of software. Can't log in to any account with either of the past two versions.

CHAOTICPIXEL  I have some good news. It seems they are listening to feedback. Version 1.0.1 did not show your own posts in Facebook, so I voiced my opinion in the forums about being able to see our own status updates. Now, 1.0.2 does show your own status updates. Let's see if they continue to listen (Fix the copious amounts of negative area in the UI!).

As far as rating the app, I am going to wait a little longer to be fair, but I am really pulling for these guys.
