Mamadupe... Hunt down duplicate photos in your Aperture library! Mamadupe uses an advanced algorithm to remove all the guess work from the tedious task of finding duplicate photos and then conveniently tags them for your further inspection.
UPDATE 1.0.1 Fixes crashes on launch. Also, some users have raised issues about removed duplicates showing up on second launch. Your feedback is much appreciated!
NOTE: Indexing of the library is incremental. It may take some time on the very first launch (approx ~30 minutes for 50,000 images), but subsequent launches will only index newly added images as previous indexes are stored internally.
TO DO: Automatically mark duplicates as "rejected" and keep only one version of an image. Let me know if this feature is wanted!
NUBBELRN Same problem - crash when hitting start - the short video looks good - waiting for reality to be the same.... release notes say crash at launch is fixed ... i think this is the 1.0 ... maybe developer is having the 1.0.1 to share ? or ? :-) (Version 1.0.1)
FATHER WALT Doesn't appear to be doing anything. New Aperture 2 installation with only 213 images, purposely putting in 25 images in 2 different projects. Running mamamdupe, it wants options (reindex), then nothing. Like others, this would be an indispensable tool that would certainly help my image library of over 121,000 spread across 3 machines. (Version 1.0.1)
SAMLUKEANTHONY This is not working for me either. I am running OSX 10.5.6 on a brand new imac and when the app launches you see the dialog box come up but it cannot find the aperture library and then closes down again. What a pity- I need something like this soooo badly..
I have an Aperture library of 59,000 images. When it gets down to 5363 or 5364 images left (I can tell which), the program crashes and closes without any warning or error messages.
The program looks very promising and I wish it worked for me! I look forward to a future update. (Version 1.0.1)
GFARRAR I love the idea of this app, but its not working for me. Running 10.5.5 with Aperture 2. It launches fun, but crashes (exits with no error) shortly after clicking start. (Version 1.0)
