DESCRIPTION
3D Desktop Zombies! Screen Saver... Celebrate Halloween in style! Watch as the undead come back to life and roam your desktop, fighting, crawling, and leaving messy footprints, blood and gore, all over the screen you were just working on, or any other image! Features Include:
  • A Zombie is not just for Halloween! Sure, we all love the undead, but they usually just get an outing at Halloween. So here's a screensaver that's nifty enuff to be used all year round!
  • Blood, gore, and fun! As the zombies roam around, they fight, eat each other, and leave messy foot and hand prints all over the place! But if you don't like the sight of blood, you can change the settings so the blood is less creepy! Or gone altogether!
  • Use any image you like! The zombie will walk around the screen you were just working on, or you can set them to walk about your desktop background, wallpaper, or any other image you like!
WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.0:
  • Mmmm more brains!
  • We've added new Realistic style zombies to the full version. They're kinda ugly and mutilated, just as zombies should be. Far less cartoony than the zombies in v1.0 and in the trial. They're very cool!
  • I've also added a new haunted sky kinda deal when the camera pans around. I think this looks very cemetery-ish too with the big full moon and trees. It really adds some depth!

THUS.SPAKE.Z  While I don't feel that Zombies(rather lame) is worth the price or is worth spending any time with, this developer can come up with some esthetically appealing screensavers, i.e. Desktop Dolphins and Pyramids of Egypt.

Most of his screensavers are not IMHO worth the price of admission, but then there are virtually no screensavers out there that are actually worth $10.

My all time favorite screensaver is "Electric Sheep"; It's brilliant, beautiful and fascinating (free of charge, too).

MTCOBRA  I've had this screen saver (and a couple of others from this vendor), all of which quit working when I got Snow Leopard - screen says: "You cannot use the 3d Desktop Zombies screen saver with this version of Max OS X. Please contact the vendor to get a newer version of the screen saver.

So here comes Version 2.0 and I'm required to pay ANOTHER $9.95 for it? Hey, it was paid for once!

    Not happy.

MACNERD1984  It's an amusing aside, but it's not worth near $10. The Zombies themselves are pretty crude really (think original "Unreal") and the screen grab is pretty fuzzy on even the highest setting. Despite the various settings, there's not really much meaningful variation. You get a minute or two before the saver disappears and you're left with a black registration screen.

PISSNAROUND  well, this doesn't work for me. Works in the preview in the pref pane but if I hit test or a hot corner, just flashes the screen once. Leopard 10.5.5
