***IMPORTANT***
Please note that JuicePhone is currently not capable of extracting iPhone OS 3.0 and/or iTunes 8.1 (and newer) backups.
We're currently working on a new version of JuicePhone, which solves this problem and boasts many cool new features 8-) and performance/interface improvements.
Stay tuned!!
---
JuicePhone extracts your iTunes iPhone/iPod touch backups and puts the extracted files into a chosen folder, which represents the device’s home folder.
Fully Leopard compatible now; fixed a bug (only found in Leopard) that would either cause JuicePhone to write the extracted backup to an incorrect path, or not write the backup at all and report success
Logs some information regarding the application status to the Console, useful for troubleshooting
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later
iTunes 7 or later
At least 1 iTunes backup of an iPhone or iPod touch to extract
BRUSETH Very nice program. I tried it with my 3G iPhone, and it worked quickly and efficiently. Thanks very much for this little app. And for free? Very nice of you. Thanks again. (Version 1.0.1)
ADDPOD It's kind of funny to see people wonder why this app is free ;-)
We could, in theory, make JuicePhone shareware, but people would only buy it if they needed it in "emergency occasions." I can't see anybody who'd really use this on a regular basis, so it wouldn't make any sense to sell it. Plus, we've been in the iPhone/Mac community for a pretty long time and rarely made any contributions. It's only fair to give something back ;) (Version 1.0.1)
I tried restoring the backup to my iPhone on various occassions... simply puts the phone into a loop and you get nowhere. So the data gets lost when the only choice is to wipe the phone and start again.
Now at least I've a manual backup and can reinstall data as I please without having to use that dumb iTunes.
Well done and thank you for making it free. (Version 1.0.1)
