iSync plugins are extremely easy to use. Select your cell phone model from the list of available plugins and with one click it is added to work with iSync.

You can even use the iSync plugins if you are not working with Address Book or iCal. As long as your personal information management program is talking to the systems' truth database, like e.g. Entourage, you are fine to sync.

SAPPOROBABY  Two words: GREAT PRODUCT !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using products from Novamedia from way back and they have never failed me or left me wishing for more. I called their tech department this morning about a plugin for the N85, and less than an hour later I had one in my mailbox waiting for me to test. These guys are the real deal. I can not say enough how great these guys are. If you need connectivity between your phone and Mac, look no further. The pricing is okay, the apps are spitzenklasse :), and the service is outstanding.

Did I mention how good these guys are?

IHOO  I would like to put in some serious praise for Nova Media (makes of the iSync Plugin), their expertise and amazing customer service. I tried all free plugins I could find to get an AT&T Motorola V3XX to work with iSync. After a few wasted hours I finally broke down and bought their plug-in having read review http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/89518&mode=feedback . The funny thing was that I was too tired to notice their plugin actually doesn't support V3XX... duhh.

Anyhow, I contacted Nova Media and they were super helpful although they didn't have to be. They sent me a small phone inspector app which found that the phone was identifying itself as RAZRV3XXR_J which is not what iSync expects. Since they didn't have a version of 10.4.9 OSX he just modified an existing plugin to update iSync with the new identifier. Voila, everything worked. By everything I mean phone numbers as I didn't bother with calendar stuff. With such competence, not to mention willingness to help, I'd buy from this company anytime!

JKKNOX  My thanks to the folks at Nova Media. They didn't actually send me a new plugin, they worked with me to fix the one I had (that should have worked). They did it for me in just two email exchanges in less than a week when I had struggled for months with several other vendors trying to figure out the cause of the problem. I recommend the company highly for understanding their product and for providing superior support.

FUELLEMANN  Hi,

thank you for the note about Snow Leopard. Some of the more than 250 plugins do cause troubles with the new operating system and we rewrite them piece for piece. As soon as they are updated, they appear automatically in the system utility "iSync plugins".

If your plugin does not work - then please contact our support at sync@novamedia.de for the updated plugin and it will work again. Just like that :-)

Thanks again,

Jan Fuellemann (nova media)

JSLATER  Doesn't work on Snow Leopard like the site says. When you check which phones are supported, it lists Snow Leopard capability, but iSync opens with a warning that the plugin isn't compatible and quits.

**...

KIPPO  Plugins work depending on the model. Support is quite helpful.

But beware: The licensing model is inacceptable for me. Since the plugin for my mobile phone didn't work as expected, I uninstalled it and tried the original isync plugin by the manufacturer. I switched my mac, that used one too...

Each install / activation is using one license (of 3). So if you remove a license for testing reasons, or switch your computer, or reinstall the system: each activation uses up a license. For me a complete show-stopper. Anyway: Just be careful when lightheartedly activating & removing a license, you might end up with no licenses... Be warned.

ANONYMOUS  Hi,

thanks for the comment. If you active the same cell phone on the same Mac, no extra-license is used.

So if you change your cell phone or your Mac every 2 years, you can use the iSync plugins for up to 6 years - for just 11.00 US-$ (and that includes the change of the Mac or the cell phone - twice!).

We think that is a very good bargain!

Kind regards,

Jan Fuellemann
