SHOTGUNWEDDINGS  Still slaughters any alternative.

For those it crashes on, well either buy a real Mac or stop using all that 3rd party crap you added to your OS.

And the n00bs that say there's not enough channels make me laugh. Try visiting the developer's site.

There's 4223 channels and you can add your comment to vote more in. LOL

Jebus, gotta love the n00bs

CLAUCLAU  On the internet it is erroneously reported that this is a product from Microsoft Research.

Well, as Lex Luthor says, it's "WROOOOOOOOONG !"

CHRISTOPHERO  This application makes it very easy to watch TV on a mac. It is getting better, but I would still like to see more channels available. Other than that, great app.

WILDTANGENT  Hi Mike, please can you post to our forum or support form so we can help you further. The url is http://www.livestation.com/forum

Since this is a brand new release for the Mac, there are bound to be a few teething troubles. We're ironing them out as fast as we can, so the more information we can get from you at this stage the sooner we should be able to create a fix for you.

Thanks for trying Livestation!

EGGSHELL  Very stable and with suprisingly small system footprint ( both cpu and ram )

The choice and reliability of the proposed ( allegedly thousands ) channels is very poor though . Most of them never work ( I tested many channels - both very popular and newly added ones ) . Mediocre image quality makes the few that do unwatchable in the long run

Very decent app - very poor content

KOSOVAR1  Gotta say that this program is imminently unreliable. There are several channels (like the BBC World News and the BBC World Service) that work rather well, but most of the rest of the channels are inaccessible. By comparison, MIRO is SO MUCH BETTER! If only Livestation could be this reliable. For the past year since I started using this program, it was very, very rare that I could access CNN International, which is very annoying. Why even include it as an option if you can't view it? About a week ago, a big fat error message "error loading partner channels" appeared smack-dab in the middle of the screen of the few viewable channels. There are no options for removing the unwanted viewing obstruction. If it weren't for the ability to access the BBC World Service and AL Jazeera, Livestation would be absolutely useless. It already succeeds in being infuriating.

KOSOVAR1  When LiveStation works on the channels that are accessible, it works pretty well and has a nice interface, EXCEPT that I really get P*ssed that 95% of the time I can't get the channels I really want. CNN is at the top of that list, but there are plenty more. I get tired of just watching the BBC World News and Al Jazeera. For this reason, I have moved on to Miro, which offers more quality channel options. If Livestation won't or can't provide certain choice channels, why annoy us and waste our time by displaying several options for CNN when we can't get it!!?? Shape up Livestation, or just step aside.

CHANSTEIN  I just tried to download to my Mac. I am on OS 10.5.7 but when I try to open LiveStation it says, "cannot open application because it is not supported on this architecture." Does anyone know what this means? Thanks

JWDRISKELL  The link at the top of the page is for Intel (x86) architecture. If you're running Mac OS X 10.5.7 on a PowerPC machine, you need to download Livestation from the "Related Links" area of the page (below the "Requirements" section").
