WAFLA  I know this is forked from CocoaMysql but it is so stable, usable, and fast that it is almost unrecognizable. I do not like to exaggerate things, but Sequel Pro kicks CocoaMySQL's butt. And then Sequel Pro goes to CocoaMySQL's home and seduces CocoaMySQL's mother, and then posts pictures of their first date on Facebook, and then friends all of CocoaMySQL's friends so the humiliation is complete.

In one tight small package you get super-fast importing/exporting. The latest (unsupported) build of Cocoa Mysql always freezes when I try that. I tried printing and got something completely attractive and useful (alternating rows highlighted, the selection query at the top of the page, etc). Tabbing from field to field in edit mode -- when you finish a record, you are brought to the next record--you can edit multiple records without your fingers leaving the keyboard. I can't say enough good things about this app, especially after trying all the other dodgy, sketchy, janky rdbm clients out there. This is a weird thing to say, but muddling around in a MySQL database is now FUN, because it's just you and the data, and there's no fighting with the client app.

RORY  A wonderfully Mac-like and easy-to-use yet powerful MySQL database manager. I have used this with both local and remote databases, and I find its interface much faster and more efficient than phpMyAdmin, which is the only other database management tool I have used. The only time I encountered a problem was when I tried to add relations to a database – it gave a strange error that I'd have to look up to solve – but I was just playing around with the database, so I didn't really need relations. If you use relations in your database, try editing them before choosing with Sequel Pro, but otherwise, get this right away for your MySQL databases. I only wish that Sequel Pro could deal with other databases, too – I can't imagine those databases' tools being as good than this.

MONDELE  Long time fan of CocoaMySQL. This is slightly nicer in some ways, vastly better in others. Specifically, I find that certain queries run considerably faster in Sequel Pro than they did in CMSQL.

I would like some of the user management that's available in phpMyAdmin or Webmin to be present in one of the GUI tools.

I haven't been using this long enough to really evaluate its stability, but so far so good.
