Mandelbrot Quartz Composer Plugin is a custom patch for Quartz Composer which generates an image of the Mandelbrot or Julia sets with parameters for zoom, x, y, colour and colouring algorithm, and more.

Apologies to everyone who downloaded 0.5a and weren't able to get it working: unfortunately my installer package was not tested thoroughly and was putting the plugin into the root level.

This problem is fixed in 0.5b, and the plugin is now correctly installed in /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-Ins.

    ALEX CLARKE  Version 0.6a includes a number of optimisations which improve rendering speed by about 5 times over the earlier versions. I now see framerates of 2 - 15 fps on a 2.4GHz Core2Duo. I hope to optimise this further in future versions.

    THEDOWD  I like the concept, but for me (Core 1 Duo, MBP) it runs very slow.
