APPLEHC  This application (in conjuntion with TimeLog from the same developer) is just great! I tried 4 different applications for time capture and billing in the last 48 hours and this one is by far the most sophisticated!

CABERLIN  For Design-companies it is essential that also invoices appear as much styled as possible.

(We cannot afford to advise out clients about stationary and our own invoices do not follow those rules.)

GrandTotal makes it extremely easy to layout cool and functional invoices with all the bells and whistles. That was our main reason why we switched from other software to this tool.

And we are very happy with it, especially in combination with the TimeLog logging tool.

Works flawlessly so far.

STEFANO CECERE  after several years of trying (filemaker solutions, Studiometry, iBiz, Billings, and all other smal/medium biz invoice/time tracking apps) i finally found something i like and trust!

the app is still missing some features (compared to Studiometry, for example, like project management), but the developer is really active and doesn't release buggy software, he seems to know really well OSX (both UI and code)

i jumped into GranTotal+TimeLog combo.. and am really satisfied..

FRUITTY  For the past 3 months or so i have been trying to find the most ideal billing/invoicing/accounting software that is easy to use, customize invoices and do some small accounting for a small business like mine. May i say that from all the possible billing and accounting softwares i have been trying for the past 3 months, GrandTotal is THE BEST among all so far. Even Billings doesn't come near, especially the template designing part.

I LOVE GrandTotal!

VISKWAL  I rarely post reviews, but MacUpdate is always the place I come to, to read user reviews and to decide if I try and buy a product, or when to steer clear from products.

So here's my contribution.

Today I purchased the Timelog/Grandtotal bundle after trying both for a while.

I come from Stuntsoftware's "On The Job" who is now officially promising this kind of application to come soon, for almost a year now (the anouncement went up in November 2007).

He has been telling me even before that he was thinking in that direction when I mentioned my needs for a program like this.

I consider myself a loyal customer, and thus waited for something to come.

While nothing came, my timetracking and invoicing have become a mess, I invoiced with pages, later numbers, I tried bento, and tried every billing app out there.

Stuntsoftware has many people on the edge of their seat, hoping something will "come soon" but nothing comes, not even a promised blog post.

So, out goes my loyalty, and in comes media atelier.

While I was not instantly overwhelmed by it's ease of use (I find especially Timelog a little hard to understand at times), I was very impressed by the responsivness of the developper.

I contacted him with several questions and I also found a bug in a beta release.

He answered promptly and the bug I found was resolved within minutes.

It shows that the developper cares about his product.

I did not hesitate and instantly bought a license, and I wouldn't have hesitated even if it was twice the price (59 euros for the bundle really is a bargain !)

I'm still learning both programs, but the more I digg into them, the more I'm starting to really like them.

I now regret I didn't make this decision earlier.

I'll also post this review with TimeLog, since the two actually belong together.

SBRIEFER  GrandTotal rocks! If you're a freelancer who bills according to their time, the TimeLog / GrandTotal bundle from Media Atelier has no match. Both applications are simple to use, extremely well integrated with the existing suite of Apple applications (iCal, Address Book) and provide an unsurpassed feature set.

TimeLog is your time tracker, and GrandTotal takes your billable hours as well as services and tangible goods and generates invoices instantly. In addition, with very little effort you have a full featured word processor / layout editor that allows you to create handsome layouts for you invoices, estimates and account statements.

I give TimeLog and GrandTotal each 5 stars! A must have combo of applications for anyone using their Mac to track time/services/product and then generate personalized gorgeous invoices, estimates and account statements.

EXCOMAX  This is by far the best solution I've ever found for invoicing. I used TimeLog from Mediaatelier quite some time and loved it's ease of use. And now there's TimeLogs new best friend and from the first moment I saw it I was impressed.

Not only it imports all logged data from TimeLog. With just one click you can have all tasks invoiced and sent to your customers. The templates for your invoices are completely customizable. So they fit your needs 100%!

And another big plus for this app is the developer. He's so damn responsive - I haven't seen that before very often. Although it's still in beta stage, I already paid for it. It the best program of it's kind so far for the Mac.
