DESCRIPTION
Adobe Dock is one application in a series of applications I am making to reduce Dock clutter and use very small applications to take the place of many others. These applications are normally around a 100 kb, and use 0 CPU when they are open and idle. To use them you can right click on the icon in the dock and you will see a custom dock menu listing a series of applications you can launch from there.
Please contact me via email, or the website blog to let me know if there are any problems with this app, and having it launch any of the Adobe CS3 applications.
Making these applications from the feedback I get takes time, I do this as a hobby. If you enjoy using the software, and would like to see them kept up to date and more, and you would like to donate a few dollars to keep them coming please contact me via email.
This one is specifically for Adobe CS3 Suite. If you want to see some more of these type please email me and give me an idea of some of the applications you would like to see supported.

Why can't I just drag my "Adobe Design Premium CS3" folder in to the Dock and view that as a list and access the apps from there? Or if I wanted to just limit the folder to only the apps without the other jazz, I could always make aliases of each app, group them in a folder and add that to the dock. (Version 0.5b)

SAMSOFTWARE The right side of the dock is for documents, folders, and other files, the left side is for applications. Apple made this distinction quite clear with the layout and set up of the dock, I am holding to their frameworks. (Version 0.5b)

CJC1959AU It isn't "basically the same on either side so yeah" Applications are supposed to be on the left side of the dock, and Sam's dock allows that facility. "Copying a folder of icons" as we always get told is exactly the same isn't and doesn't work as well. By the same logic, Windows is just as good as OS X so yeah! (Version 0.5b)

PSEUDO TASUKI Er, isn't a grouping of files a folder? If it's on the left side of the separator then new icons shouldn't appear after launching the applications. This app seems to be trying to fix an annoying limitation of the dock (the ability to group applications), which does nothing to fix the real issue and only replaces existing capabilities. SAMSOFTWARE I have recieved feedback about wanting a CS4 suite dock, I can provide you with this, I just need a little help collecting application names. Please go here: http://samsoftware.110mb.com/PBLang/post.php?cat=3&fid=5&pid=1&page=1 and post the pictures of CS4 suite applications so I can get the complete name and make a CS4 Dock Suite. I would like to put this out as soon as possible, but I don't own any of the CS4 applications yet, so any help would be appreciated. Alternately, you could donate enough to allow me to buy the complete CS4 Masters collection so I can do this :) (Version 1.0)

MIGJEL I'm also waiting for a CS4 version. And a feature request: a simple preference where you can opt out applications. For the people who don't use all the adobe apps. That would be great. (Version 1.0)

SAMSOFTWARE Please post feedback here: http://samsoftware.110mb.com/PBLang/index.php I don't check site for comments as often as I do my website. Preferences have already been suggested. I could put the apps into different submenus, according to what Adobe has listed on their website, or another such scheme. (Version 1.0)

DANA SUTTON I'm sure that plenty of people will find this useful, but the CS4 suite is now current. I hope the author gives us a CS4 one too. (Version 1.0)

WIZARD2 TOTALLY IMPRESSIVE -- awesome concept. Saves space in the dock, and makes it super easy to find and launch Adobe apps easily and quickly. Very very nice execution. Hats off to the developer. Please donate to support his work!!!! 1. Be able to quit Adobe Dock without force quit. 2. Change icon so that the AD matches the color of default Adobe icons 3. Auto-discovery of other Adobe apps, like Adobe DNG Converter, etc (Version 1.0)

SAMSOFTWARE In response to your post: 1. Be able to quit Adobe Dock without force quit. 2. Change icon so that the AD matches the color of default Adobe icons 3. Auto-discovery of other Adobe apps, like Adobe DNG Converter, etc I have these answers for you: 1. if you right click on the applications, the very last item on the list, closest to the dock, is quit 2. I only have Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, and Device Central to work from, so I can look into that 3. I would be happy to add support for that, just send me a picture of the application's name in finder and I can add it. I would add an auto-discovery feature to this, but in adding support I have found there is no real pattern to the naming of the applications, or atleast none that I can see, so it would not work to well since there was no pattern or basic layout to the naming. GARY ANGELONE I am really appreciating the software this developer has created! It's great that it's free, although I would gladly pay for this useful software. Who needs a cluttered dock? (Version 0.5b)

CJC1959AU I'm glad I donated to help Sam continue with his work! I won't use the Adobe one, but I do use both the iLife and iWork ones, and I'm wrapped in them. I think I would like to see one for Web Browsers as well, or maybe Internet tools? Safari, Camino and Firefox with Mail? Might work. Thanks Sam! (Version 0.5b)

STEELMAXIMILLIAN There is an application that does this; but it does have a price. I like it very much - so if you want to pay $14.95 head over to: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14815 You can create any folder for any thing you want in this application. (Version 0.5b)
