Snapplr is a revolutionary tool to efficiently take and share screenshots. It completely replaces Mac OS X's native capabilities and works in the same way as the system tool, but offers a wide range of options. Its main feature is to upload screenshots automatically to Snapplr.com, giving you a URL in your clipboard that you can share.
A revolutionary feature, called "Live", is the ability to select an area, a screen or a window and get a URL which takes a fresh screenshot on-demand.
This means that you can, for example, select the window you are working on, send the URL to a customer or a friend and get immediate and constant feedback. Every time he/she hits "reload" in his/her browser, a new screenshot is sent.
Snapplr also offers the ability to send screenshots via mail, copy them in the clipboard and of course, save them to a file.
You can select the destination of the screenshot through a small control panel which is shown at the bottom of the screen while taking the screenshot. Through this panel you can also set a delay between the time you finish selecting and the time the screenshot is actually taken.

PURRITO I'm developing an iPhone app and I like to get constant feedback about design issues. Snapplr makes this exceptionally easy and fast. I just take a snapshot of the iPhone Simulator and then I'm able to show it to friends and contractors to get instant feedback. (Version 1.0b2)
MICHELE BALISTRERI Snapplr is currently in beta and as such can be used for free (I think Skitch has the same terms ATM).
Other than that, Snapplr is quite different from Skitch in the way it is operated. (Version 1.0b1)

BUGEYEDMONSTER I'm sure it's very different "in the way it's operated", whatever that means.
However, the features as advertised sound a lot like skitch, and skitch works really well. I just can't see the point in trying this software. (Version 1.0b1)
