DESCRIPTION
Chronicle... The easy way to keep track of your bills! Have you ever missed a credit card payment? Have you ever found yourself in a panic, trying to remember if you paid your rent or mortgage this month? Do you just want to get a better idea of how much you are spending on your bills? Chronicle will help you with all of this and more. Designed to be incredibly easy to use, Chronicle will remind you to pay all your recurring bills on time, and keep track of what you have paid. Automatic bill averaging helps you budget bills that are not always the same, like utility bills.
Plus: - Automatic Bill Averaging: Budget bills that are not always the same, like utility bills.
- Reminders link to iCal: Chronicle can add reminders for each of your bills--automatically--to iCal (Leopard only). You are reminded of upcoming due dates, even if Chronicle and iCal are not running.
- iPhone sync: Through iCal, your reminders can be automatically synchronized to your iPhone.
- Payment History: Chronicle remembers your payment history for each bill, and even organizes scanned or downloaded receipts by date, so you can quickly find them for reference later.
- Free updates: New versions of Chronicle are always free, even if substantial features are added.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.4:
NEW FEATURE: Income Tracking!
- The overview screen now displays your monthly income, and automatically calculates your remaining balance when you log payments. You can either enter your total income here, or your monthly budget for paying your bills.
Interface Improvements
- Slight re-arrangement of items on the overview to accommodate income. The "Bills at a Glance" section is now called "Monthly Overview".
- Darkened text in the Monthly Overview area to make it easier to read.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that caused Chronicle's window size to not be remembered properly under Snow Leopard. Chronicle may forget your last window position the first time you launch it after this update, but will remember thereafter.
REQUIREMENTS
- Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
- Chronicle 2 is available for Mac OS X 10.4

URBANGRANOLAGIRL This is a great, simple little app that does exactly what it says it does, and very efficiently. I've been doing us via a boring old spreadsheet, and I'd much rather use it's nice GUI. Plus, handy reminder alerts, quick links to pay online, an overview page that calculates what you owe and what's due soon (or overdue!), a place to attach receipts/confirmations, and a payment history log. It's everything I need in one place. I just wish it had an editable note area in the Overview so I could add a handy link to check my bank statement (to make sure I have enough $$$ first). The developers seem so responsive to requests, I'm sure it won't long before they that add that feature! (Version 3.32)

PX9-855 Thank you for the currency update! I also like that Chronicle is kept simple compared to Money, iDollar and others. One irk I noticed though... I find the due time to be somewhat off on occasion. What is in reality a due date of 3 weeks and 2 days somehow gets rounded off to 4 whole weeks. Since I don't have 4 weeks in reality that could potentially end up with that bill getting paid rather late. Here is at least my vote for having it err on the safe side and display 3 weeks as I rather have mine paid a day or two 'too soon' rather than 'too late'. (Version 3.32)

DJZAPP OK so I purchased Chronicle a while back and freakin Love it. I use this everyday. This is a awesome program!! Which leads me to this.. You guys have your act together, What you have produced in the multiple apps you have are hard to find. Quality, Stable releases. Everyone always puts out stuff so fast it usually sucks. Keep up the hard work!! gonna be using Chronicle For a long time to come!! (Version 3.311)

GOOCHISAN Can't say enough good things about Little Fin and their products! I've really grown to depend on this clean and functional (dare I say "fun"?) little app to help me avoid late fees. The developer is very active and responsive to users, and maintains a democratic bug/feature/wishlist message board via UserVoice ( http://littlefin.uservoice.com/forums/32658-chronicle-ideas ). All this plus "Free Upgrades for Life" makes this purchase a MUST if you're looking for a good way to manage your bills! My positive experiences with Chronicle have led me to also purchase their younger, but similarly good app, Compartments (for maintaining home-inventory records). (Version 3.311)

DONEBYLEE Some companies truly deserve the user community's support and I must say that LittleFin is one of the best I have encountered. They provide quick responses to user requests and they have a real commitment to making the application as good as it can be. Plus free updates for life. It is hard to imagine a better deal. SOLEFALD Great little app! Really helps me to stay on top of my bills. Very much appreciate automatic iCal additions. One request though... I would like to have more flexibility for repeat bills. For example, I have a bill that i pay on the 1st and 15th of each month. Would like to have the ability to set that up, instead of setting 2 recurring bills (one for the 1st and one for 15th) (Version 3.203)

LITTLEFIN Thanks for the review! I'm really glad you like Chronicle. Regarding your feature request, I am working on that, and hope to have a new version with semi-monthly bills as an repeat option in about a week or so. (Version 3.203)

FANCHEE Was skeptical at first, but once I downloaded it and tried it for a few days, I purchased a license. I use BusyCal, and a minor annoyance is Chronicle does open iCal when you save a bill, but it instantly updates in BusyCal so it's really more of an annoyance than a problem. Now I get alarm notifications on my mac via BusyCal but also on my iPhone when a bill is due. Like the poster below, I also have most of my bills via e-bills and no longer receive paper bills. This program is a huge help in maintaining my organization of all bills and then reminding me when they are due. Highly recommended! (Version 3.031)

SUMMERSOFAR Within the last 12 months, I have cut down my paper-bill pile from about 20/month to 4/month. As a side effect to this "greening" of my mailbox, I was having a difficult time managing not only the newly converted automatic payments (vs. the available balance in my checking account), but also the paperless manual payments as well. Thats when I went searching for a solution, and found Chronicle (v2, at that time). This tool has simply been amazing, as it manages the bill-payment reminders for me in a smart and intuitive way. It is fast loading, so checking my bills daily is not a chore. And the interface is attractive. To top it all off, the developer listens to all suggested feature requests, and truly supports their users! Simply, if you are looking for the best way to manage your bills and log your payments, Chronicle will not disappoint. (Version 3.031)

BNBLISS I can't say enough good things about Chronicle2. Not only can you pay bills and have it remind you but there is a function that allows you to pay off loans/debts etc. When I wrote to the developer he was very quick to reply and incredibly patient when I requested features that were already there that I hadn't seen. Highly recommended. (Version 2.25)
