DESCRIPTION
Garmin Bobcat allows you to transfer waypoints, tracks, and routes between your Mac and Garmin device and manage your data using your Garmin maps.

Bobcat provides the ability to search for points of interest from the convenience of your Mac and then send the locations to your Garmin GPS.

MapManager copies maps and unlock codes into the right place to be accessible by Bobcat and MapInstall. To migrate the maps from your Windows PC, download MapConverter onto your PC and follow the instructions.

****.

FIREMIN  I've been using Bobcat since it's fairly early unstable beta's. The last few versions haven't caused me a single crash. It's great to have a decent GPS mapping program for the Mac that's free. Garmin seem to be more actively supporting Mac software now (several updates in recent weeks) I did have to convert maps from a Windoze machine but that's mainly because I'm using a free Aussie mapset "Shonkymaps". Bobcat seems quite stable with it. I've had reasonable success moving data between Google Earth and Bobcat via GPSBabel+.

I have found that "Active Log" track files seem to keep speed information whereas saved logs don't which is a nuisance for some of the MTB riding I like to log.

Cheers  (Version 2.0.0.7)
