xvidEncoder... Xvid and libavcodec based QuickTime Media Compressor component. Support xvid, another MPEG-4 SP/ASP Video Media. Uses libxvidcore.a, libavcodec.a and others from xvid CVS build and ffmpeg SVN.

MAC ADAM  wonderer xvid 1/4 pixel work in avi (mpeg streamclip)

GEORGE F  Note that this encoder does not work with MPEG Streamclip's Export to AVI.

NICOLAS-MARECHAL  You would use this over Perian because Perian helps you to read (or decode) a video while this one is to write (or encode).
