PSEUDO TASUKI This is an interesting idea, but not the best execution. All of the SVN commands are performed in the Finder via the right-click menu. I would greatly prefer either buttons in the toolbar or a SVN menu. What's especially annoying is that all of Mowgli's commands are buried under the "More" submenu. The installer insists on restarting my machine after finishing. That's completely unnecessary as restarting the Finder should suffice. I force-quit the installer and manually restarted the Finder and saw no ill effects. There is no documentation to speak of. If there is, I haven't seen it. No help files either. There's only one item in the settings, which changes the diff command. Surprisingly, there doesn't seem to be commands for moving, copying or (amazingly) even status. The move and copy commands I can understand being confusing in the context of a GUI file manager, but the lack of svn status cripples this software in my opinion. I've only been using it for a few minutes and thus far there haven't been any stability issues, however I'm giving it a rating of 4 for stability because of the installer issues. Overall, I gave it a 3/5, which may even be a bit generous, but it's clearly an early version and it's freeware. (Version 1.0) |
