CORPSECORPS  All those bugs and SEVERAL MORE reported and the developer can do nothing but offer me a different game it its place.

The game is far too riddled with bugs for me to be the only one seeing at least SOME of these things.

It's an enjoyable game. It's too bad the developers don't seem concerned with cleaning it up!

CORPSECORPS  In addition to the rest, sometimes the actual mission screen comes up shifted down about 100 pixel in full screen play, requiring a restart.

CORPSECORPS  I was quite impressed with the demo version and bought this while on promo. It's an entertaining game with a distinctive look and very good gameplay, as well as an above average soundtrack. I haven't played many of this sort of "overhead view" sort of game.

It has a simple straight-forward UI and I like the fact that defeat doesn't start the player over from scratch, having to complete all the same low level missions again.

I would rate it higher if it weren't for various quirky or buggy behaviors:

1- Every so often, under inconsistent circumstances, the 'fire' button gets stuck ON. The "player" or "agent" keeps reloading and firing as fast as he can until ammo is exhausted. The only way i've found to end this spree is pause and unpause the game. This is not a mouse or keyboard issue.

2- On the opposite end, i've infrequently gotten in a situation where i couldn't fire, despite having ammo available.

3- After playing for perhaps 20 - 30 minutes, movement becomes slow and intermittent. Im on a Mac Pro with huge amounts of RAM and disk space, as well as a video-card upgrade to an ATI Radeon HD 3870 so it shouldn't be an issue of computational power. It occurs even if little else is running and Time Machine isn't doing a backup. It goes away only if i quit and restart the game.

4- I've twice encountered malfunctions on a mission which left it impossible to complete. In the first instance, i entered the final room, and then rapidly backed out the door upon identifying overwhelming creatures. However, on every successive entry into the room, no creatures appeared, nor any sign the mission was complete or an exit. My only choice was to reload the game and repeat the mission from the beginning.

On the other occasion, the agent became STUCK to a wall. I at first thought it was due to poison or encroaching monsters, but when i escaped them, i could still only get him to move ALONG the wall, and not away from it.

5- Perhaps this is unavoidable, but when playing in windowed mode so i could use Snapz to get some screen shots, i found it difficult to play because it's very easy to accidentally click outside the window on desktop items and get killed during the loss of control.

ADONSA  Unable to get the demo to work

Clicking the "Try it" box, the application returned this error:

ChecksumDRM: fopen() failed!

Amazing that the beta testers didn't notice this. Does the paid/registered version return this error too?

ADONSA  It has to be installed into the applications folder, not just any folder, then it works.

CORPSECORPS  Seems to have been fixed in 1.02 because i rarely install games in my main Applications folder and it runs fine... well... except for the other bugs.

HORSEAGLE  I've been playing this game for almost a month now, and I'd have to say it's a pretty good game.

I wasn't sure at first because of a 'straight down' view, but I got to playing it and found it to be very involving.

So, if your not sure, give it a try anyway.

You might be surprised!
