RelatedMail is a plugin for Apple Mail that shows messages related to the currently viewed message. The RelatedMessages plugin builds an index, similar to Spotlight, of all your mail files, and uses that index to find messages related to the currently viewed message. The plugin determines relevance by looking at both the headers and the contents of the message. A given item in the related messages list shows the sender, date, subject, and first sentence or two from the message. Above the item is a score indicator – the longer the bar the more relevant the message. Various styles are applied to the text to indicate a particular relation to the currently viewed message.
Fix a possible issue where cached sender information was out of sync with the database.
The plist option to turn off caching has been removed. It is now always on. This has allowed some further optimizations for a small performance increase in displaying related messages.
F451 I love this app, but would very much like to have the ability to situate the column on the left-side so that I could keep MailTags on the right-side where I am used to having matters. (Version 0.8.4)
WEB-JIVE This is an excellent addition to mail! I have thousands of emails and this really helps with finding emails related to the current topic. Cuts down on my use of Find. (Version 0.8.3)
- support of MailTags (windows interfere at the moment)
- support of SpamSieve (and other spam filters) to sort out spam/junk messages (index seems to include them at the moment; at least if you don't use the build-in spam filter)
- option to exclude emails in the trash (and maybe from other specific folders)
- maybe support of letterbox/wide mail
However, it is a really helpful plug-in already! (Version 0.8.3)
Easy to install, easy to use (almost nothing to do), and really usefull ! It's like Spotlight, but better, that you can access simply by clicking mails, and the rest is done automatically.
Some GUI enhancements would be great, and the manual activation should be automatic in a near future, I hope ! :)
So... Five stars, without doubts ! (Version 0.8.1)
