DESCRIPTION

SetDTPictureCM is a contextual menu utility to set, restore and find the desktop picture.

In particular this contextual menu performs the following functions:

  • Sets the desktop picture to the file you control click on in the Finder. This menu items displays only if the file can be rendered by QuickTime as an image. The menu item's name is "Set Desktop Picture To"
  • Locates the current file that is serving as the desktop picture. This menu items always displays. The menu item's name is "Reveal Desktop Picture"
  • Reverts to the last desktop picture. This menu item displays whenever this contextual menu was used to set the desktop picture. The menu item's name is "Reset Desktop Picture"
  • Keeps track of all files used by this contextual menu to set the desktop picture in a submenu labelled "Recent Desktop Pictures" Selecting an item from this submenu will set the desktop picture to that file.

    GAZMAN  When trying to download or visit website I get:

    "The requested resource ... is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource."

    LEO SPILL  Very weak entry into the ever changing desktop picture world.

    I really don't see what the developer had in mind when he wrote this ?

    What does it add that the finder doesn't already do - and do rather well.

    Namely being able to take a folder of wallpapers and change then at a predefine rate.

    If this tool handled folders of files rather than just individual ones, then maybe...

    But it doesn't even add a thumbnail to the recent/history so you don't what's what.

    You can't import a folder of files ( You have to click on each file and then it's stored... )into the CM ?

    Needs the capacity for favorite folder sets, image thumbnails... and since Apple made all contextual menu items spring from the bottom into their own sub menu - aren't all CM tools now dead ? It's just such a pain to navigate within them now.
