Fairmount is a free open-source companion to the VideoLAN Client to make encrypted DVDs readable by any application.
Fairmount is a free tool which allows on-the-fly decryption of DVD content for convenient access. Fairmount does not perform the actual decryption, it simply forwards the data to VLC Media Player, which is used for the decryption. Hence, VLC Media Player must be installed for Fairmount to work.
ST00P!D M0NK3Y Wow it's been like two years since there's been a FairMount update... I've since switched to RipIt. Maybe I'll give this a go one more time and see how it works with newer DVDs. I'm absolutely hating the new icon though... so much that I copy and pasted the old one over this one. (Version 1.0.4)
WEHO Guys! Hello ! The download link connects to DVDRemaster 5.1.2 by the same developer. So do the links on developers website. Does anybody check this stuff. Watch this get deleted! Oh well ! (Version 1.0.4)
MISHA The reason why DVDRemaster is downloaded when downloading Fairmount is that the latter is distributed with the DVDRemaster package. (Version 1.0.4)

TICE Great little app. Works fine and silent. Only with the SonyBMG protection it doesn't seem to work. Shows 0 bad sectors, but the DVD spins forever. Anyway for all others it works fine (so I can have a copy of my DVDs in my summer house. Thanks! (Version 1.0.2)
ST00P!D M0NK3Y Does exactly what it says. I'm using this instead of MacTheRipper now... which doesn't work on very many new releases these days (including version 3 of MacTheRipper... which is buggy). Excellent program. :] (Version 1.0.2)
