DESCRIPTION
OSx360 is the first and only Xbox 360 disc image stealth checker and burner. It sets the correct layer break and verifies the file before burning an Xbox 360 disk image. It will not patch or modify the disk image in any way. It can natively burn the xbox 360 disk image using the same framework that Apple's Disk Utility uses.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.0 beta 4: Added:
  • New Open View to replace About View on startup. Dropping a file into the Image Well will open the file (and perform any open actions).
  • French, Italian, German, and Spanish Localizations. (May be incomplete)
Fixed:
  • Text Field for Disc Image path now replaces current text on Drag and Drop.
  • Invalid (Empty) TOC Entry Error (Specifically Sega Superstar Tennis).
  • default.xex is now searched for with case-insensative option.
Changed:
  • About and Configuration Views is now seperate windows.
  • Custom Layer Break is now a Combo Box with user selectable layer break settings (Xbox 360 and Wii).
  • Toolbar now highlights selected item.
  • Log Window Font Size and Style to support International Characters (UTF8), and fix fuzzy appearence of text on some displays. Also changed log marking to a more human readable format.
  • Log Window now is hidden when OSx360 is not the front-most application.
Removed:
  • Logging of File Structure. It took too long to display and had little to no function.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

WOLFIENUKE  Use Apple Disk Utility to burn most Wii disc images. You can use OSx360 to burn dual-layer Wii disc images (You need to set the layer break in the configuration).

No stealth checking is required for Wii disc images.

    DBAGDADI  Thanks for the tip!

    Forgive my ignorance but:

    1. What is Stealth checking?

    2. How do I know what to use as the break on Dual Layer Wii images?

WOLFIENUKE  Simply put, stealth checking is the process of verifying that xbox backups are valid.

The layer break for dual layer Wii disc images (notably Super Smash Bros Brawl) is 2084960, but is easily selectable in OSx360 by a drop down menu.

DBAGDADI  How do I make a backup of a Wii game with my Mac? Do I make an image of the Wii game with Apple's Disk Utility and then burn using OSx360 as stated in the previous comments?

MAGENTIS  It's nice to be getting some love for our 360s on OS X. Everything works well. All I could ask for is stealth check/repair. Thanks for the hard work!

DIMFIL  Excellent piece of software. Closes the gap between Win and MacOSX as far as XBox360 is concerned.

The only alternative up to now was iBurn which just does the "burning" job and nothing else. OSx360 does a lot more and in a completely "maclike" way!

I already burned a few backups and had no problems so far. I'll certainly donate.

    Great job Justin!

MUTON53398  I've been using this software since the first publicly available alpha builds. In that short space of time the developer has made significant improvements to the features and user interface. I'm using a PPC G4 mac running os 10.4.11 and have had successful burns each and every time using both high quality and lower grade media. I've used the other utilities available and they don't compare. As with everything else I do on my mac this 'keeps it simple'. A great piece of software.

MICH3LANG3LO  This program is just fantastic. For Wii games you just use Disk Utillity, is the same programation that OSx360 use for the burn.
