JETFIREDX  Half working here. Install appears to run correctly. Mail then launches. New emails do trigger an animation to play (the default I assume) but the preference for it only says something like "pick a button first!" but then if I select it again nothing is shown.

I am using the WideMail plugin so it is possible that there is a conflict.  (Version 1.2)

    LEPPE  Hi,

this is a review for version 1.2!

*I give this software a main rating of 5.

-They fixed a lot in this release.

    -The installer is professional.

-All the information you need is in the ReadMe file and in the installer.

    -And the installiation works now!

    -It's still free software!

-It's a very nice feature for Leopard Mail (this is personal, but I think many people will agree).

*Features: a raiting of 4. Which is still very good ;). It's all integrated in the preferences from Mail. For Freeware there are a lot features you can control and there is room for more. You can set how this software behaves on a very personal base.

*Ease of Use: a raiting of 5. It's all in the preferences and a child is able to set this up.

*Value: a raiting of 5 (of corse)

*Stability: a raiting of 3. Personal I would give it a 4 or maybe a 5, but there are still some Terminal commands "if" the installation is not working... The commands work well and will start the feature in Mail. But many people are still afraid from the Terminal.

A Terminal script in the next release could be a solution... It's very easy to make one and to compile it to a script.

So considering the previous version was buggy and hard to install with no info at all, this version is a great step forward. So I believe this software deserves a 5! It's free, it's a nice feature, it's easy to use, great feedback, friendly and helpful developers, etc.

Regards and keep up the good work!  (Version 1.2)

    LEPPE  Hi,

I just tried some things and went eventualy to the site from the developer.

There is a solution for this problem. But it's rather unfriendly and not for a average user.

Open Terminal and enter (or copy/paste) the following commands (each command followed by Enter):

defaults write com.apple.mail EnableBundles -bool true

    defaults write com.apple.mail BundleCompatibilityVersion 3

    Greetz ;)

To the developer, it would be usefull to add this information in the installer readme or an extra file in the zipfile called ReadMe!.  (Version 1.1)

    LEPPE  Hi,

I'm just letting you know that the installation did nothing, except adding a rule in Mail.

No special effects, no extra preferences in Mail like in the screenshot.

The program does nothing at all.

I think there is something realy wrong with the installer!

Maybe it's better to use a 10.4 installer, because if you click on the computer icon during installation you get a message if you want to install this for all users or not.

I clicked on all users and maybe that's the problem?

The concept is good and I would love to see it work.

I did not tried the uninstaller yet.

I'll do that now and try do reinstall it just for one user.

But you need to test this more on several Mac's before releasing this. I just noticed that you had issues with the installer in the previous version too.

Having some experiance with the installer from Xcode I would advise to try a 10.4 installer in combination with a min. system combination, which is 10.5. It's much more easy to master and control a 10.4 installer (also less change for bugs).

Once you master the 10.4 installer do some tests with the 10.5 installer. As a developer you will know what I'm talking about.

Again, it's a great idea and concept!!! Even a good job!!!

Just the installer issues are not funny ;-)

Take care and thanks for the program (and for keeping it Free!!!)  (Version 1.1)
