DESCRIPTION
Shelf is an app for Mac OS X that looks at the current foreground application, and tries to figure out if what you're looking at corresponds to a person in your Address Book. Then it'll tell you things about them.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.0.14:
- Can now extract URL clues from the foreground tab of Camino and Opera. Tested only on the latest release versions (Camino 1.6.1 and Opera 9.5).
- Traditionally, the Shelf window hides itself if it has no context to display. Exposed this as an option, defaulting to true, for people who don’t want their windows vanishing on them.
- The Dopplr module now displays the time in the person’s location properly according to your system timezone, rather than the GMT time where they are.
- last.fm changed their XML order? Anyway, I now explicitly order the tracks in the client, most recent at the top.
- Fixed a crashing bug if there were urls in your address book cards that didn’t begin ‘http://’.
- Fixed a bug with unicode domain names. I suspect they’re still broken for matching purposes, but they no longer crash the app, so that’s an improvement.
- Extract the HTML view template into an external file. Include jQuery, so I can start on the superfluous visual effects. Do almost all UI update work using JQuery-based javascript from the HTML template, rather than re-sending all the content every refresh.
- Fixed various other UTF-8-related crashers.
- There’s an annoying off-by-one-hour bug somewhere in the feedprovider, something to do with time zones. I’ll get it eventually. Sorry.
REQUIREMENTS
