DESCRIPTION
WhoIs Analyzer Pro 2.0 integrates advanced searching capabilities to find contact information, DNS records, Internet routing information and geolocation data for all of your whois queries. You now have the ability to find whois information on any IP address, email address, URL or Autonomous System Number (ASN) by granting you access to contract records from all registrars and routing registries worldwide. No longer do you need to know country codes to get accurate results.

WhoIs Analyzer Pro 2.0 incorporates many features to make whois results easier to read. The Synopsis page breaks down the whois query results into sections highlighting DNS, Routing and Location data. The new "Show on Map" feature allows you to plot the inferred location of the organization on a map. Data detectors automatically create click-to-contact links inside whois results, eliminating the need to cut-and-paste items like URLs and e-mail addresses. And just added, now you can save results in text or HTML format.

Features At-a-Glance:

WEB-JIVE  Add the features that dnsstuff.com has and you will have a winner. Until then, there are free website that do this.

APRILMAYJUNE  All the things this app can do, can also be done on the web for free. So why buy it? If you do the odd search here and there then it's a waste of money, but if you find yourself doing frequent domain name searches then this is a real time saver.

Since this tackles a large number of top-level domain name databases at the same time, it almost always ends in a hit. There's no easily accessible top-level name database that I know that allows you to do searches for more than a limited number of top-level designations and these tend to be com, net, org etc. Rarely do do you get country designations and then if you do it's usually only a tiny fraction of the top-level names available. Go-Daddy is probably one of the best but if I want to look up something with an .au (Australia) I've got to go elsewhere.

About the only complaint I have after one day's heavy usage is that the log could be a bit more informative ie when the app can't find something the log comes back with "Ambiguous query" when in actual fact the name (on my testing) doesn't exist.

This is a one-trick pony but if you're doing lots of searches then it's a useful one.
