DESCRIPTION
Seafoid lets you find out:
  • resistors' values from their color bands
  • the total resistance of series and parallel connections
  • the voltage (U), amperage (I), power (P) and resistance (R) in every direction
  • dropping resistor values for LEDs
  • the thermal resistance for the right heat sink
  • information about vacuum tubes (heating, socket, contained systems)
  • inductances of air-cored coils

Please let me know if you notice a bug or if you have any question.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.0:
  • Capacitor series/parallel connection calculation.
  • Fixed several bugs.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.5 or later. (might run on 10.4, too, but I can't test. Please tell me if it works or not)

EAN  Fairly handy. Should add capacitance values in series and parallel since the bulk of the coding is already done in the resistance values in series and parallel.

    NONSENSE  Thanks for the suggestion.

I implemented it in Seafoid 2.0 Final.

    Best regards,

    ALAMBICCUS  ppc (g5, 10.5.2, and g4, 10.4.11)

    it works.

It needs some filters (on 4th: none, silver gold; and realist values; why not four color/resistances, plus a filter)

    L2R50  Some confusion when P = U÷I as R = U÷I !

Siince version 0.1, the same aberration.

    We wait…

MOTORCITYMAC  Works good on G5 Dual 1.8GHz PPC Mac.

Clean and simple app & GUI. Could use some input info, for the series-parallel section, though easy enough to figure out by clicking around...

Great beta, great price, and useful tool.

    Thanks Dev.!!!

-BTW; I changed it's name to 'PowerCalc', so I can know what is in my >Applications>OtherApps folder.

It had no problem with that...another big plus for this app, and developer!
