FAYETTEMAT  I think this would be even better if I could see all my backups to know how good I am at keeping my backup. But this is pretty good the way it is! I mean I just open dashboard and sitting there is my last backup. I liked the Menu Item, however like is stated by the dev I cannot see it on my Macbook when TM tries to backup and I am away from my desk.

TIM.DEHRING  I applaud the developer from creating something like this; however, this isn't too much different than having the Time Machine icon in the menubar and clicking on it. Good job though!

    KYLE.OBRIEN  Hi Tim,

I'm mostly trying to fill a niche for Time Machine users on a laptop who don't own a Time Capsule.

If you don't have an external hard drive plugged in and Time Machine fails a backup, the menu item says "Latest Backup: Delayed." If you open the System Preferences, it simply says "Failed."

This is more useful for me and it helps me to decide when I want to connect to my external drive.

TIM.DEHRING  I never thought about the "Delayed..." issue. Thanks for clearing that up!
