VFJCZYN5LQXK Incredibly good, very easy to use, and fast! Bought as a part of Yazsoft's Promo Bundle. It just works. I've tried other methods to access my network remotely and this one works the best by a large margin. Time is money. This one saves me time AND effort. Well worth investing $20. (Version 1.2.7)

ANDRACULA I've been trialing ShareTool (there's a generous 15min connection limit unregistered) and from what I can tell it just works. I connect from home on ADSL2+ straight through my works firewall to my desktop Mac. I can only comment on my reasonably high speed connection, but the performance is great in screen sharing mode. I love how I see all the shared connections on my work machine as well, as if I was sitting at the computer. Now there are no boundaries between work and home (is that a good thing? ;) As soon as these guys release an iPhone companion, Im there! PS. I cant justify 5 stars because - to be fair - I haven't tried the competition to the same extent. I like the natural mac-like interface and ease of use so much. (Version 1.2.7)

SHATFIELD I started using ShareTool only 3 days ago, so this isn't a comprehensive review. I have MobileMe, with "Back to my Mac" enabled, running a full Apple network - Airport Extreme, Macs throughout. Only when I am home does it actually work as described by Apple. When I am at my office or in a hotel, I have about a 20% chance of it working. I could not connect to my computers, even though they were listed in the Shared section of the Finder window. Enter ShareTool! This has worked for me 100% of the time. I see the machines in the Shared section, click on them and voila! I get connected. Not only that, but I could access my iTunes library as if it were on my local machine. Brilliant! I did notice that the tab order on some of the windows was not right, but the developer (Yazsoft) responded to me very quickly to let me know that this will be fixed in a future update. Highly recommended, and worth the $30 for 2 machine licenses. Apple can't attain this degree of connectivity at 3 times the cost! (Version 1.2.7)

SIGIL Some time ago, this app was on here on discount. WOW, did I miss out! It is simple and reliable! Yes, it just works! I debated purchasing this app for a while. I should of trusted my instincts.... I own Speed Download and I consider that one of the best apps that I have purchased....Foolish me.. (Version 1.2.6)

PROPAR This is the answer to a prayer. I was never able to get "Back To My Mac" to work reliably and it's very important I have access when away from the network. ShareTool solved all the problems and doesn't need Mobile Me to work either. There were some initial configuration problems and Tech Support hung in there until we got it working... If you need access to File Sharing and Screen Sharing when out of the office, this is the answer and it's a bargain as well! (Version 1.2.5)

SEF6 Product performed and setup exactly as advertised. For multiple uses, this can't be easier. I especially like it for checking my home computer running home automation schedules while I'm traveling. Even easier than using the Prism service. Kudos to the author, and thanks. (Version 1.2.5)

After goofing around with several other products that claimed to be "Just install and go", with pretty much poor results, I stumbled I am beyond happy I tired it. 5 mins worth of set up on my home laptop (an older MacBook Pro) and my travel laptop and I was connected. Seriously no muss no fuss. I have to say at minute 6 of the 5 min set up I was purchasing this and have recommended this to my boss (the IT Manager) to get installed since I am just a Senior Helpdesk guy. Heck if my Dad can get this installed, it does work as advertised. (Version 1.2.5)

APPLEHC Works as advertised! Just not sure if I got to register both copies to get a "valid" connection between laptop and home computer.. (Version 1.2.4)

DMILLERGBR I assist my elderly father with his mac and have used ichat to do screen sharing and file swopping etc. After installing Skype ichat didn't work as well and had always been a bit slow. Sharetool is excellent, easy to set up and use. It is much much faster and I can now play chess with my father on his machine something that was just not possible with the iChat connection. A great piece of software (Version 1.2.4)

CPTPOLAND This is one great little gem, that works out of the gate, without any configurations. This just works, and it works very well. After less than 5 minutes from installing the software on my home machine, I was able to browse my whole home network from work. Didn't have to touch any routers, open ports, nothing. Another big plus is addition of Dynamic DNS services in the software directly. So if don't have a static IP address with your ISP, this software will connect to a dynamic DNS service. This is absolutely great. It's a lot easier to remember a domain name than it is to remember IP address. Highly recommended piece of software. (Version 1.2.2)
