RADARNAV  Wow! Great tool for finally getting an inventory of our DVD collection! Love the iSight scanner - worth it's weight in gold! Kudos to the dev - keep up the good work, and thanks for the outstanding software.

MRMCLARGEHUGE  Excellent program for a freeware app. Nice interface, good performance, and the iSight UPC scanner is one heck of a feature.

UTRUNN  This app works fairly well for what I need it for. I basically need a program to organize my .dvdmedia files. I just hide all the sidebars and link the .dvdmedia file to the movie and set the title + cover image and tada, a DVD library. I don't really like the icon though...

SJK  I wonder why "DVD" in the actually application name (and in most spots on the developer site) is capitalized "Dvd" instead of all uppercase "DVD", e.g. "Dvd Hunter" vs. "DVD Hunter". The latter looks nicer and more accurate, as an acronym, to me.

TICE  Seems like a pretty good app. I saved a vcs file from the old (and now commercial) DVD Manager and could even import that via the vcs Plug-In. Great feature to do so! So far easy to use and a good auto-fill tool.

NEAL  The app will not launch in Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Crashes and creates an error log (which I sent to Apple).

MITCH_DE  I switched from an older other DVDPedia to this freeware. It helped much that this app has an plugin for importing DVDPedia Database. Very good handling. Only making or configuirating printed (export pdf) Lists is much less advanced as the wellknown DVDPedia.

MTCOBRA  Strange.

Whenever possible, I prefer to install updates from within the program. When an upgrade is announced, I'll open the program and use it's internal CHECK FOR UPDATES function.

I did that today with DVD Hunter. The update was discovered, displayed, and it asked if I wanted to install it.

It promptly displayed an error box stating: Update error! The update is improperly signed. The only option displayed was -- Cancel Update.

Now what do I do? I could replace the program with this 'update' but not sure. I do not know what an improper signature is/means.

MITCH_DE  For me the automatic update from 1.0 Beta 15 to 1.0 worked.

Perhaps you have rights problems (update cant overwrite old version) ?

GOODIDEA  I love this app. It works really well except for two small bugs. Previous versions imported directors, producers, actors names in first name surname format which I like. Now you get surname first name and must manually edit everything. The companion iPod app is also great but when you sync with your computer database, the movie release date comes in incorrectly for movies before a certain date, around 1945 or so. A 1937 movie imports to the iPod as a 2037 movie. Send him some money, he deserves it.
