DESCRIPTION
MailFOO is a mail optimizing script that lets you know what it's done! Add it to Apple's iCal and get iCal to automatically run it.

MailFOO checks the size of you original Apple Mail.app store file, runs the unix Vacuum command on it, checks the size again and then reports back to you on the improvement.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.02:
  • Added a delay between the quit mail command and the run vacuum command to prevent connection errors
  • Corrected a bug in reporting the reduction, where it reported the before size for both results

TOMECK  Looks pretty much like the sames as VacuumMail (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/24410/vacuummail)...

It is very similar to VacuumMail, except it doesn't come with a load of extra bloat. My version is simple and tells me what I wanted to know. Check the file sizes, 40K v's 820K. I'm not saying mine is better, it doesn't come with an installer, but I wanted it to be simple.

I hope to improve on it over time, so any suggestions please leave them here or at www.appleupgrade.co.uk.
