ELISEO MEJIA  deskUNPDF 3.0 SUPPORT IS NOT FREE OF ITS OWN PROBLEMS....I've just bought a new mac...trying to get the support to activate this software on my new computer....has been like trying to find a flea in the market. Support is bad. I have sent numerous emails. No luck so far. SUPPORT NEEDS SUPPORT.

M-RICK  I tried it and don't have this contextual menu behavior, it works great, anyway, you have 2 solutions, in the installer, you make a custom installation and uncheck the contextual menu integration, or you simly remove it manually from the library folder and that's all.

I removed it because i don't need it.

    deskUNPDF works very well anyway.

DOCUDESK  The first build of deskUNPDF for Mac 2.0 was released with a bug in the finder extension which our team immediately resolved. By popular demand, an improved universal installer package has also been available for some time. The installer package only defaults to install the finder extension, simply selecting custom during the process exposes the option to not install this. This reviewer must be commenting on an old build. I would encourage them to download and try a current build/installer.

LOUNGE DELUXE  I tried it on a .pdf I made through printing a simple Word 2004 doc as .pdf. I used the contextual menu option to let DeskUNPDF open it in MS Word, but DeskUNPDF said it wasn't a valid .pdf format (?).

Told DeskUNPDF to open it in DeskUNPDF itself and the infamous beachball showed up and only a hard reset could liberate my system from DeskUNPDF.

I'd stay away from this software.

JCTULL  I got the intel version today and it worked (was that link there yesterday?). Regarding the functionality of the product, I tried to convert a relatively straightforward table from pdf to Excel and it did not do real well. Several columns and many rows were missing, although the cells that were present looked good. It might be worth a try for these conversions, and it is probably the best option currently available on the platform. But I would not pay the price given that it did not get the job done correctly. I tried no other conversions.

The program crashes the Finder if run from the disk image.
