DESCRIPTION

LSDate is a menu bar item which copies the current date and time onto the clipboard. Various formats supported.

It also displays the date and time in the menu bar, in various styles. Use the system preference pane to select a style, such as GMT

It can also be used as a calendar-clock, that serves a dual purpose as a means of selecting a date for display in the menu bar items for copying to the clipboard.

LSDate is part of the Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle : http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html. Purchase a Utilities password to activate all the utilities, including LSDate. Updates are always free, new products always included!

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.0.8:
  • The last selected date-time value of the "Date-Time Chooser" window is now always remembered, and if the option to set the Date-Time Chooser to the current date-time is not selected then the Date-Time Chooser will be set to this value.
Version 1.0.7:
  • The menu bar item now displays the current date and time in various formats, including GMT. Select the format using the system preference pane.
Version 1.0.6:
  • The calendar-clock window will now update continuously when displayed if the option "Dynamic Date Time Chooser" is selected in preferences.
Version 1.0.5:
  • A new option for always resetting the date-time chooser to the current time when opened has been added to the system preference pane.
  • Added a new numerical date format which includes the time as well as the date.
Version 1.0.4:
  • Added a couple of alternative numerical date types to the menu.
Version 1.0.3:
  • The menu now contains an item named "Date-Time Chooser" which when selected will display a window with a date-time control. Use this control to create any date-time string you like on the clipboard, not just the current date and time.
  • Fixed a bug in which the menu required you to display it twice to see changes in preference options.
Version 1.0.2:
  • Added a new numeric date time format called "GMT Date Time" that includes the GMT offset.

ABOFRAPA  If you really need this shareware, consider Greg Weston's DateServices, which is freeware.

JPPAGLIARO  LSDate has the option of displaying the value that will be copied to the clipboard, but your selected alternative does not (and also does not use the clipboard.) But I like the idea of adding such functionality to the services menu, as an alternative to using the clipboard as LSDate does. So I will consider adding that feature to LSDate.

Now, LSDate. although not freeware, is part of the Limit Point Software utilities bundle. That means when you make a donation you receive a key that activates all the utility software:

http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html

So you get much more than just LSDate. Upgrades to all is always free, and new products added to the bundle are always included!

I invite you to take a look.
