PIZZACAKE The HUD menus appear to be working correctly. The grid no longer warps when resizing the window. Nice work! (Version 0.8.1)

DORKYPANTS Almost no built-in help, dropdown menus in HUD tools still need to translation from French to English (and other languages?). No user's guide or any other documentation on developer's website. Does this app presume familiarity with some Illustrator or some other vector drawing app in order to be usable? (Version 0.7)

MAERIC Freehand will be my app of choice till it's busted on whatever future OS makes it obsolete. While the new Illustrator CS4 is getting closer, it's still a bloated hog and I don't see full parity for another few versions. In the meantime I'm watching Vector apps like Drawberry and others to see how they evolve. The Independent vector app "race" is promising. (Version 0.7)

PIZZACAKE This app is really shaping up nice although lots of user interface bugs spoil the fun. It is really difficult to select lines. However very promising and really impressive work from a solo developer. Well done. (Version 0.6)

EAGLELOUK I personaly know the Developer, and it's incredible to see the work he done alone ! This freeware works really great and I can't imagine, even as a developer, the hard work it is. Simply amazing (Version 0.6)

DSTEARNS Almost what i needed, but I saved a document, and now when I want to open it, it doesn't open. Missing features I think it should have: 1. Copy and paste doesn't work on a shape with an image fill, works with gradient and color fills 3. opening document problem i mentioned before 4. using an image fill should have the option of a tile effect if you know a way to fix numbers 1 & 3, please tell me (Version 0.4)

SULEIMAN KHAN Fantastic start to what will no doubt turn out to be a very promising application. I have a few gripes that I'm sure are already on the Developers radar: 1) The ability to insert and manipulate text is central to any vector art application. I could not find a way to do so in this application, despite the screenshot showing some form of text manipulation going on. 2) The inability to nudge objects and move them around the workspace using the keyboard arrows is frustrating, since the mouse is quite limiting for exact movements. 3) The panels work great. There should be a way to setup workspaces and save and load them afterwards. Those workspaces need to remember which panels were expanded and which were not. But all in all a very elegant release. I'm looking forward to scrapping the ever-more bloated Adobe Illustrator CS3 in favor of this app. This loads in less than a second on my 1st generation MBP, whereas CS3 takes a good 20-30 seconds. DSTEARNS what I did to nudge the shapes with the keyboard, was to use sticky keys, worked well (Version 0.4)

GCOGHILL Interesting vector application, kind of like a Pixelmator for vector art. As the previous comment mentioned, there are some bugs to be worked out, but overall it's a cool little vector art application, and the price is great. The developer website wouldn't load content for me, and there seems to be no documentation as of this version. Needs some additional keyboard shortcuts as well. Workflow issues need to be addressed, particularly color selection for fills/strokes - especially when creating new objects. There are also some missing (or I just couldn't find) options for the path tool when working on existing paths & anchor point handles. Nice initial beta release, looking forward to watching this one develop. (Version 0.4)

APPLEDOGX This is a promising program; worth downloading as improvements are made. Definitely has bugs that need squashing... draw a rectangle, copy it and paste it and you get a circle or rounded rectangle. The web site seems bare and there is no place to report bugs that I can see. Wish there was a way to control the palette color, as well. (Version 0.4)
