HAFDIS  I like this app, but it's fairly slow. I constantly get a spinning beach-ball when using with Snow Leopard. Also, I thought there was lyric support, but I haven't been able to find any options for displaying lyrics anywhere in the application.

IKARI  I like this app, but why are all the controls taken away when you're in full screen view? like the search function and the play scroller? and yeah, being able to play a song??

This seems really odd to me and rather limiting. I'm trying to set up my mac mini as a media hub with a touch screen display so having the option to have all the controls in full screen view would be great. Would that be possible in an upcoming update?

Also, it would look better if the albums spun around like they do on the ipod touch with tracks on the back of the album art.

MIGUEL  This app has potential but there is a flaw that makes it unusable for me. Every time that the app is launched, all the artwork is missing, it needs to be "re-cached" and it only populates artwork when the user scrolls. This defeats the whole purpose of artwork and cover flow.

There are some other flaws that make it painful to use:

• Column widths aren't remembered. The tracks pane gets a huge width with wasted space by default and it can't be changed so that the app remembers it when relaunched.

• The progress bar is confusing, I thought it was drag-able area in the window when I first used the app. So when I tried moving the window, instead I found it was a progress bar.

• Double-clicking on an album doesn't play the album. One needs to click on an album and then go to the track listing, and double click on a track. Not as user-friendly as it could be.

• When hovering over the OSD (on screen display) the pop-up menu is unpredictable, sometimes it appears sometimes it doesn't, also it disappears too easily, and the position is also unpredictable. Also when using the OSD on a secondary display, the pop-up menu appears on the primary display.

• Ratings can't be edited visually.

REPOSED  Snow Leopard broke support for displaying artwork on the desktop. It displays it, you just can't move it to another location any more.

DANNY_2  I like this app a lot, as an iTunes controller i prefer it it over CoverSutra. The Cover Flow is great, the art on the desktop is great, the controls in the menubar are great, like I said: I like it a lot. There's just one thing I don't like about it: after a few hours of playing music Cover Stream turns out to be an immense memory hog: it consumes 1.5 GB of memory! I have to quit the app to reclaim my memory. Anyone seeing this problem? I'll write the developer about it, otherwise it's back to CoverSutra for me. 3 stars for now.

ROB.H  Great little app and one I would buy if it wasn't for the fact that it crashes all the time.
