DESCRIPTION
CheckUp... With its use of the latest Mac OS X technologies, breakthrough ease-of-use and innovation, all Mac users will find CheckUp extremely useful and even fun. It's like the dashboard of your car!
CheckUp is first designed to monitor the usage of CPU, Memory, Disk Drives and Network Adapters. You can display detailed information about all running processes and pause or terminate these at any time. By adding rules that will be triggered when certain conditions are met for a specified resource on the computer, you can receive visual notifications. For example, CheckUp can alert you when a certain resource exceeds a certain value or when a hard drive seems to have hardware failures, even when the application is not opened (thanks to an innovative background process and the use of the S.M.A.R.T technology).
One of the most innovative feature of CheckUp is the ability to monitor a Mac on a network or via internet. It's a powerful feature for IT administrators interested to check a remote computer or a remote server.

BILL.BOAK The new version seems to perform as advertised except that it still refuses to detect my WiFi networks. This problem was first noted when versions 2.0b1 and 2.0b2 were introduced. The old version 1 detected the networks. Can't understand why version 2 can't. (Version 2.0)

ZO219 I do not trust this app or its price tag, not one bit. Experienced Mac user, and just sayin'. (Version 2.0)

BILL.BOAK The latest version 2.0b3 no longer crashes on my system. The only problem I have with the latest version is that I cannot detect the Wi Fi networks of which one is mine. I have informed the developer of the problem. I can detect the networks using a previous version 1.xxxx (Version 2.0b3)

BILL.BOAK This is a correction to my previous post re: crash at startup. I installed version 2.0b2. The previous version 1.2.1 all worked fine. The latest version crashes at the opening screen. After removing all the CheckUp files and reinstalling, it works for a few times then crashes upon startup of CheckUp. App4mac has been informed of the problem. Still no reply from app4mac. I would reinstall version 1.2.1 again, it worked but I can't find it anywhere. (Version 2.0b2)

MITCH_DE Looks very nice - but at cost of very, very huge memory consumtion (for such a tool). The background task runs ever - even when you dont run the main app. This background app uses watet cpu cyles. Should onyl loaded / killed be the main app and NOT the way of launch as an daemon! (Version 1.2.1)

OCD Be careful with this one... If/when you uninstall it make sure you follow the directions and remove its launch daemon in - /Library/LaunchDaemons/... If you just remove the app the startup process will generate constant errors and wreak havoc with your system, causing sporadic freezes and crashes esp. when running certain network connected apps... (Version 1.2)

MINIMARC Apple's system profiler is the best check up app. If something does not work you get an info. (Version 1.2)

IGREG $50 regular price? $40 for the sale price? LOL. I read somewhere that the company makes the point that $50 is for using it on two computers. OK then charge $25 for use on one computer, then your closer to a realistic price. If you want a monitor that monitors RAM, CPU, and more, then MenuMeters is free and good. CheckUp does more, but not $50 or $40 more. (Version 1.1.1)

MITCH_DE Great looking App , Takes a lot of RAM and some % of CPU Time (over time same as Windowserver which is much!) in background (CheckAlert+CheckAgent tasks) even if you dont need/want checks+logs over the time. I ony want that the app takes his RAM+CPU if its aktive. Disabling that Launchd tasks will not allow running theapp only - thats the reason why i give only 3 Stars and stay at Menumeters (much less RAM+CPU usage on my DC Intel) (Version 1.1.1)
