Touch Tone Checker is a plugin for the Address Book that dials your contacts' numbers through the computer's speaker.
It provides a few settings that make it drop your local area code from the numbers dialled. Similarly you can add a prefix to use calling cards.
Mac OS X 10.3 or later, a computer with a reasonably good speaker, a phone with a reasonable good microphone, a phone line that uses 'touch tone' dialling. And reasonably well-formatted phone numbers in the Address Book.
