ScreenShotFormatX... If you want to change the output format of screenshots (command/shift/3 or 4), you can do that very easily with ScreenShotFormatX. The choices are BMP, GIF, JPEG 2000, JPG, PDF, PICT, PNG, PSD and TIFF.

    RORO01  ... but we can do it easily using "Save As..." in Preview. What are the benefits of this application?

    TICE  Well if you have to take a bunch of screenshots and need them i.e. as JPGs, then you have a lot of work open them all and save them again. ; )

    RORO01  Thank you for your speedy reply. Some users might find this application useful but the ones who are familiar with Automator would probably use "Change Type of Images" action if they happen to take a bunch of screenshots. This action can be saved as an handy Automator application of course.
