DESCRIPTION
Task Coach is a simple open source todo manager to manage personal tasks and todo lists. It grew out of my frustration that well-known task managers, such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things todo consist of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with composite tasks.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.76.1:

Bugs fixed:

  • The notes and attachment columns were not properly refreshed after removing the last note or attachment. (2894530)
  • Reminders would randomly not work. (2888688)
  • Recurrence frequency would be reset to zero when edited. (2895085)
  • Instead of the whole description, show only the first few lines of descriptions in the description column of task, note, and category viewers.

Features added:

  • On Mac OS X, you can optionally choose to use Growl for reminders. When enabled, this disables two other features: snooze/don't snooze and open task on reminder.
  • Added back the possibility to hide active tasks so that people can have a task viewer that only displays completed tasks. (http://uservoice.com/a/NQCUV)

REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

IMHO  Little app? With 30.9MB it seems rather big for a ToDo-list.

AMTMANN  The main virtue of TaskCoach is the cross-platform usability. I can use it at home with my Mac and at work in a Windows environment. Program(s) and data are stored on a USB stick. Very convenient.

ADONSA  How do you get it to work?

Remember the old System 9 application, "Move to Top?" You double click it and it loads, and quits.

I put it into the Applications Folder, double clicked it, it loaded then nothing happened. Option Tab, nothing. It's not running. Where could it be; looked for something new in the menu bar, nope.

Great price, great screen shots; it says requires System 10.4; I'm running System 10.4.7, so that shouldn't be an issue, should it?

Maybe I'm missing a step or two.

MACOLYTE  It's really worrisome that this query went unanswered by the developer, isn't it?
