DARYLF2  Nice, but why the pink? Please make a gray option or make the colors user-selectable!

INSOMNIC  This application has replaced Meteo as my defacto menubar weather application. It feels cleaner and snappier and the new version (currently in beta) expands on it without bloating. Definitely a must have for the "current weather" conscious.

The developer is also very responsive and actively developing this application.

Once the new version comes out it will be getting all 5 stars.

UMIJIN  Outside is a menubar app that shows you the weather for one location. You can even get detailed information about your location's weather by selecting 'get info' from the pull down menu.

Outside gets its weather from government weather stations, particularly those accessed by NOAA. Unfortunately, this limits the options available for weather - though you can sometimes find international locations. Furthermore, these stations tend to be located at airports, which don't really reflect the weather in municipal locations. I live in Tokyo, but the Narita airport location is far outside the city. The temperatures and other variables are not very accurate.

Although the icons are clean, and the font for temperature easy to read - this application pales in comparison to another free menubar app - Meteorologist, aka Meteo. Updating of some weather stations also seems to take quite long compared to Meteo.

Outside also lacks the ability to access multiple locations, and forecasts/current condition details from the pull down menu - all which are present in Meteorlogist.

Although Meterologist has some problems (changes in weather server data format sometimes break the app), I don't see any reason to use Outside instead at this point.

XYPHER  Simple and very useful. Thanks for this. Was getting tired of using WeatherDock and the BBC Weather Widget.

Needs an option to turn off the progress logs.
