MACUPDATE ADMIN  My thoughts about this software are very similar to those of the previous poster. And Joost appears to now be in an accelerated stage of development, there've been two releases in a fairly short time.  (Version 1.1.4b)

MUGENB16  excellent! impressive interface!! some surprisingly great content (in particular a multi part documentary i watched on spacerip about robots) highly recommended. would certainly like to see more high caliber content, but then again, this is all free with no commercials, so i can't complain. (but do we really need more swimsuit channels? ugh-and i'm a guy...bring on quality content and sign up with more producers!!)

performance wise:

Penryn MBP, 6Mbit/640 DSL profile: not a single stutter, it played like butter. VERY FAST buffering, and CONSISTENT for every channel/show. impressive! not a single hiccup with hours of watching! Using my net monitor it seems the app uses less than 100k/sec, so again that's applaudable.

Quality of video is 8/10...respectable for streaming, but don't compare it to a dvd.....high motion brings the codec to its knees and pixelation is visible. by comparison, on stills it does a fantastic job.

a few minor bugs (cursor disappearing, some buttons get "stuck" in the explorer)  (Version 1.1.3b)

EL-CRAVITO  When in full screen mode, everytime I try to quit Joost 1.2.2b, the application keeps hanging. The only solution is to force quit. (I did not have this problem with the previous version.) If I quit with the "regular" screen mode, it quits without any problem.

I use an Intel-based iMac, running Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.2).  (Version 1.1.2b)
