DESCRIPTION
FLV2iTunes... This is a simple docklet application for converting movies to iTunes, iPod and iPhone supported format. Just drag and drop videos to it and wait for it to finish. It will accept any video format that are supported by ffmpeg (WMV, XVID, DIVX, FLV, AVI, and more), converts it, and insert the movie into iTunes library. REGIKONO  NEGATIVE: I'm very thank for the developer to provide us this free tool, but unfortunately it was taking too much time to convert a 20MB mk2 file, thus I moved to the iSquint.app that has worked great. I'm sure FLV2iTunes is under development and will be a great app very soon.

POSITIVE: interface is nice.

ROBERT COOGAN  Works, but takes an incredibly long time to convert a 800KB flv file. A speed bump and a progress bar would be nice.

TFSLAYTON  Won't convert any of my flv files. I get a message "cannot convert file."

The error log it generates is also completely useless.

"Error Code -128"

I looked it up and this code means:

"User cancelled an operation."

Not only is it not helpful but it creates a non-helpful file on my desktop for me to throw away.

TICE  Again: Converts but can't open with Quicktime Player. Error "Movie contains incorrect files". VLC just plays the sound.

TICE  Also a FLV file which plays well in Quicktime with the Perian Plugin. Maybe they used another codec?? But is FLV a container format with different codecs?

TICE  Convertion ERROR. No statusbar, no job done. Didn't even start after first dropping - just after second try. Hmm, not for me.. sorry.
