LEE123  How is this program related to the one from www.limit-point.com? Just curious.

BLUESOFTWARESOLUTIONS  It's the same one, but a separate developer now handles its development.

DAVE H.  I just downloaded and ran 1.8.1 and the demo won't allow me to create reminders. I get a nag window when I select New Reminder or New Quick Reminder from the menu.

BLUESOFTWARESOLUTIONS  Sorry about that. An incorrect version of MenuMinder was posted. I have submitted version 1.8.2 which corrects the issue.

MEMPHISBIRD  This application is a wonderful little nag. I've been using it for a couple of months and it's a snap to set up. It doesn't have tons of bells and whistles, but I have those bells and whistles in other reminder applications -- and I don't use them! With MenuMinder I can quickly create reminders on the fly right from the menu bar, and that's exactly what I want. If I need something "deeper," I can use iCal. With MenuMinder I can get a pop-up window, an email or a text message, and that is very handy for traveling. The author is responsive and quick to address feature requests. The only features I could ask for at this point are some keyboard shortcuts -- I tried adding my own, but they didn't work -- and to have the "OK" button already highlighted/selected so that I can just tab and arrow through the date and hit return. Then I would really be flying!

ELEGRAPHY  Use Check Off! It's free and you can truely manage all your To-Do list directly from the menu bar drop-down window.

JPPAGLIARO  Yes, CheckOff is a nice application. But its functionality and goal is different from MenuMinder, and it is not a competing product.

The objective of MenuMinder is to alert you at specifc times when you should do something using an alert and optionally an email notice.

HENRIKTEKNIK  Yes, Check Off is a completely different app!

@ elegraphy

Before writing something like that, please consider the possibility that well deserved attention might be drawn away from the app, for no good reason.

Should there be an app that is directly competing with the app in question, and you prefer that app for some reason, by all means, do share your point of view.

EDDIEW WALNER  I like the menu bar convenience but it's way to featureless. If you modify your app to allow editing of existing reminders, copy / paste, and print out the list window then it will be closer to being worth the ten bucks. As it stands it should be a freebie.

JPPAGLIARO  That is on the way, as well as other features, of course. This is version 1.0.
