CrossWire is a LimeWire/Gnutella client for Mac OS X. It aims to be a perfect combination between performance, stability, compatibility, usability and price when it comes to a File Sharing client. As a result, CrossWire shares some killer features like the rest, and some that the others don't have.
MBRICE The code base of this application is unable to be ported to newer releases of the RB Compiler, meaning it can not be adapted to run on Intel or even take advantage of the velocity engines in G4 or G5 microprocessors, that coupled with lack of development time or resources means unfortunately the development of this application will be halted.
In response to ghostwriter's reply regarding servers, the link WAS fixed but was later broken again due to server issues. (Version 1.0)
MBRICE Download link fixed. Unfortunately the app is somewhat of a black hole at the core and the attempts to resolve bugs aren't going well. Development is not dead though, I assure that. (Version 1.0)
GHOSTWRITER No, as of 12/28 the download link is NOT fixed yeilding this error message as before:
The requested URL /crosswire/cw10.zip was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Please fix the error or remove this from Macupdate! (Version 1.0)

BUCHO Link seems to be broken. Checking out the directory contents after following the 'more information' link yields a file named cw10.zip.old. Is this safe to use, or is there a correct download listed somewhere else? (Version 1.0)
MBRICE It seems to be a compiler issue as it compiles fine under an older version of the compiler. However the older one only compiles for PowerPC, not Intel.
May need to wait for a compiler update. (Version 1.0)
KLAGRECA stability problems here as well. Too bad, UI-wise it looks really good. I suspect we'll have to wait another few revisions before its worth another look.
MBRICE I'll look in to this. Quite unusual that the problem is still occuring despite complete changes and rewrites. Perhaps i'll forward the source on to another developer and let them take a look. (Version 1.0)

MBRICE 1.0 has run more efficiently and more stable on our test machines, and has a few last minute changes to improve it a little.
Source Code has been posted on the CrossWire site. (Version 1.0)
