AIKOUSHA  What the hell is the point of this? There are at least 6 programs that do this directly, already.... for FREE! And there are about a thousand ways to do it using two free tools (which gets you past almost all tough issues with syncing and skipping frames, etc.

This is a worse idea than Popcorn...

Now, if this thing could FLAWLESSLY transcode any matroska file, into mpeg4 or avi, and burn subtitle streams, that would be worth slappin' down some hard earned cash (sorry, there is NO program or toolset that will do this for the Mac... especially if the x264 codec is involved. I've converted a few recently but they all took several days total and unless more than 4 steps (on video) were involved, it never worked... anybody seen horizontal video smearing? Dragging audio, super-fast video, tiny subtitles?)

DONPERREAULT  Very disappointing, don't waste your money. Handbrake is still the best.

GAVIN CUTSHALL  This is a simple to use, but over-priced means of transcoding your media to other formats (notably AppleTV). If you are looking for "dummy"-level ease of use, this is the product. However, VisualHub is not only cheaper, but offers far greater control of the end result.

This might be a product to recommend to your parents, but anyone else should take the time to use VisualHub.

PEDRO FARDILHA  Humm.... is this some sort of Popcorn 2 (also by Roxio) without the compress to DVD part?

D00D  Yes, that's exactly what it is. Personally, I'd pay the $10.

BILL BOB 1  Roxio Crunch is a waste of money.

It is slow at converting files, has very limited capabilities, and costs too much.

For a proper Video conversion program, take a look at VisualHub.

http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/

VisualHub can convert all video formats into any other video format, all quicker than Crunch. It can join video files on the fly, create DVD iso files which can then be burned automatically within VisualHub or with Disk Utility.

Lastly it is $16 less than Crunch.
