CASLON  I get Finder crashes when Finder Browser encounters a PDF in a folder, on my PPC with OS 10.4.11. Have notified the developer.

TEKURIS  This problem appears to be Tiger only and has now been fixed, please re-download if you are running Tiger.

Additionally the brushed metal look has been removed as requested by CASLON.

SCHMELDING  Er, um, maybe I just don't understand, but doesn't the Finder already do this (in Leopard)?

CREATIVE GUY  Yes. QuickLook already does this, plus allows you to view multi-page PDF files, as well as other formats.

I(POWER)MAC  Indeed this software seems to be especially conceived for those which have a Mac that doesn't allow to install Leopard - and, consequently, they don't have Quicklook -.

CYBERATOMIC  This could be really nice, if it did two things:

1) lost the brushed metal - this makes it feel "old" and takes up unnecessary room.

2) * most important - Show the dimensions of the image (I'm a web developer and need to know what the size of the image is)

Keep up the good work, and please try and implement #2 above, if at all possible - thanks!

ORION MK. V  Awesome. Now I can dump the unintuitive (yet functional) PicturePopPro.

NYMPHE  It's a great utility. But the brushed metal interface is too old and too big. I mean the border of the window of course.

If you can use a transparent window, like Leopard does, it would be great, because QuickLook is amazing, and this is the best tool for wieving images quickly.

Having a keyboard shortcut would be great too.

MORJOVY  really nice stuff! i like it very much! cool alternative for the Preview.app (i hate it)

what do i need now?

1. zoom buttons

2. possibility to rename the contextual menu item "browse images". i use russian mac os localization, so it would be nice to have all the menu items localized

thanks!

I used to big a fan of 'QuickImageCM' which unfortunately is only PowerPC, and doesn't look like being Universal Binary any time soon.

Like QuickImage this opens your images in a window but unlike the latter it doesn't offer the plethora of editing options that made it a great replacement of the OS's Preview application.( If you don't mind your entire screen being 'hijacked' then you could also try the Contextual menu launched 'ImageViewerCM' - $10)

Apart from showing all images in a folder and not just the ones selected, which is annoying not having a preference to switch it off, you should also be able to have all the pictures 'landscape and portrait' show in the same sized window rather than - when a landscape image is selected it forces the window to near full-screen and is not resizable. Lastly the ability to double click an image to show a thumbnail of all the images within the one window would be also very useful.

Obviously still developing - and if it were to incorporate some basic image editing/tagging and most importantly IMHO the ability to move files ( preference for user defined folders ) - It could be a great productivity tool in the future.
