DESCRIPTION

Magnetosphere... Here is this thing that does stuff in iTunes. There is magnetism, there is gravity, but on top of all of that, there is awesomeness. Watch as all the dots and ribbons go bouncy bouncy when you play music and trigger this mo-fo of a visualizer. This is the future of visuals. By the way, don't go crazy with the A and S keys - they add or subtract a hundred particles at a time - tap once or twice and wait for the results. If it starts acting poorly because you hit a bunch of keys, just quit and restart.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.2beta:
  • Reset particles with 'r' key.
  • Fixed bug where shift key interfered with the hotkeys.
  • Improved fullscreen support
    • Breaks fullscreen on Boot Camp.
  • Display track info with 'i' key.
  • Unicode track information.
  • Various performance optimizations.

AIKOUSHA  Actually, they are no longer working on it. It was bought by Apple and now is the Primary visualizer for iTunes. So, if your iTunes is fully updated, just turn on the default visualizer.

HENDO  This is an amazing screen saver, but I wish it didn't jump around quite as often, there is not enough time to see each new cool visual

ASH435   This is easily my favourite visualiser. The effects are stunning. I beamed this onto the ceiling at a party.

Although there are only a few main themes, their ability to vary with the music are impressive.

As with all visualisers, I wish there was a way to run them outside iTunes so that they can be easily assigned to a second monitor (full screen) and react to audio from the built-in microphone. Any developers know if this would be possible?

TONYBOY  Simply beautiful.

I look forward to seeing this one evolve. My only small criticism is that for a visual display that visually morphs, fades and glides, there are, from time-to-time, what look like abrupt cuts between particle configurations. These cuts seem a little out-of-place and are a bit visually confusing.

This is a very minor grips for such a breakthrough visualizer. I still can't figure out how it seems to match the mood of each song: funky songs look funky, gentle songs look peaceful, etc...

Amazing!

MKLLOW  This is an amazing visualizer.

Not only is it really impressively beautiful; it also reacts in a new fashion to music: via rotation of view / change place of particles in a sudden way. This makes it really look responsive to music.

Well done!! I love it.

XENEX  Very nice!

Only thing that's missing is full-screen, but hey -- it's a 0.1 beta after all.
