DESCRIPTION
Lumen is a simple and beautiful puzzle game. The objective is to light up checkpoints by bouncing, coloring, and maneuvering a laser beam through obstacles. Although puzzles may seem easy at first sight, they can be quite a challenge. The careful attention to detail and the colorful graphics make Lumen a joy to play. An online database of puzzles ensures that new puzzles are constantly added.

THEGREATFISH  I downloaded Lumen about 2 weeks ago and I have not been able to stop playing! I have not had any problems, the program appears to be very solid... and the graphics are not too bad either.

For a simple game progrom, it rocks!

Better in the mind than in the playing.

The puzzles need more evaluation as to difficulty as they seemed reversed (in my case at least).

Perhaps i'm just not suited for this. Several larger sized puzzles rated "Easy" i spent ages on and got bored long before i came up with a solution.

Conversely, i completed several smaller ones rated medium or hard, on the first attempt.

Additionally, in a day and a half, i've had the program hang 3 times. I get a perpetual pinwheel and if i choose "Force Quit" from the dock menu, the app persists. Only on a second "Force Quit" does it go away.

Also felt rough around the edges UI-wise; the rotation of pieces being somewhat delayed, causing me to click an extra time, then getting 2 rotations quickly; nothing being particularly definite or snappy; lack of sound; a preference menu item which does nothing; and no real splashy eye candy.

HENDO  Wow, this game is addictive. I really am not a huge fan of puzzle games but this is really fun. The idea is so original and the graphics are great! Thanks for this freeware developer!

ZEBA  It's a great little game, although I find that the size of the playfield is rather small. I solved most of the puzzles from the first try. That's not very challenging and it's a reason why it became boring very soon.

MEW1033  I love this game. Period.

I'm not quite sure what it is about it, but it is addicting something fierce. I've been putting off one thing after another, just so I can play this game.

It's so simple, yet so challenging at the same time. It boggles the mind, all the while taunting you with it's easy looking appearance. It has a super small learning curve too. I know this for a fact. I religiously read the directions and play all the tutorials for every game I play. This game has neither. And I was up and running is 10 minutes.

All in all, this game ROCKS!

MEATMCGUFFIN  I remember a game like this for Windows 3.1 about ten-ish years ago. Anyone know what it was called?
