DESCRIPTION
Raw Photo Processor (RPP) is a RAW converter, supporting almost all available digital RAW formats. Think of it as of a development machine in terms of film photography - first you have to develop your roll right, then do whatever you want with it. So this is NOT a full featured photo processing package, you will need Photoshop or some other tool to apply sharpness, cropping and so on, but you may use RPP for some very carefully picked amount of operations.

The main idea behind this application is to do quality conversion without blocking shadows, clipping highlights, spoiling colors and returning that natural film-like look to your pictures.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.7.7:

  • Phase One backs are fully supported now with custom profiles for P20, P20+, P21, P21+, P25, P25+, P30, P30+, P45, P45+. Support includes alternative profiles for incandescent light (available via Profiles menu when Raw is loaded).
  • Added support for Panasonic LX3 and also changed profile for all Panasonic cameras - should be more neutral now and far less noisy.
  • Added support for Nikon D90 and improved D700.
  • Bugfixes.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

ARGLBORPS  Cool Programme, but why is there no support for DNG, the most obvious format to convert your RAW files into. The spec is open.  (Version 3.7.1)

YIPCH  Superb... Manage to get the correct white balance out of my IR shot where CS2 plugin couldn't.   (Version 3.6)

AVETENEBRAE  I would love to be able to batch process a folder full of .CR2

Live preview of modifications would be cool also.

Thanks for your work!  (Version 3.5.6)

GERMANO60  Unfortunately, on PPC (G5) this application crashes when trying to Save a file after the processing. Additionally, it hangs when trying opening files with .jpg extension even if they are captured directly from the camera.

By the way, as an hitn for the future improvements: it would be definitely useful to have also a "Save As..." option rather than the plain "Save".  (Version 3.5.4)
