PETER_EARTHMAN  After doing my duo review of iTubeX and iTube Grabber I also tried this.

But to be fair, it just doens't cut it to today standards.

I mean, there are several very annoying issues with this utility it general makes this a useless effort.

* Why can I not quit downloading?

* Why doesn't it always convert the flv to mp4 (1 out of 5 it just doesn't work)

* Why doesn't it always capture the correct movie?

And I can go on summing up some other things but for me this is clear : not good at all.

Donating? No sir .. use iTube Grabber or iTubeX instead !

ERIC  Doesn't work for me ...

It downloaded the first youtube movie I wanted ... then when I tried to download another one ... it starts downloading the first one again ..

I tried about 3 times with the same results .... each time I had to force quit because there is no apparent other way to stop a download.

MACINSPORE  I have tried a number of these types of apps to convert youtube video to a MP3, this is the only one that allowed me too do this in one step, much thanks too the developer. Perhaps I live in a quantum warp but why are there so many apps that claim to download and convert youtube content that simply cannot do this? At best most can download a flv file, who cares?

CKELLNER  I haven't used Get Tube in a while, but I had previously only used it to download the audio files from videos. I tried to download a video and it won't actually download anything. I downloaded the 4.0 update, but every time I do, it tells me there's an update to download (whether I open from disk image or after replacing the old file). MacUpdate says the version is 4.0 but when I try to go to the developer's site it indicates that it's only version 3.0. My version comes up as 3.0.2, and I hadn't had any trouble with it before.

I have no idea why it's not doing what I want it to, but if someone could point out something I can do to fix it, please do so.

RTOURIS  For some reason this latest version steps hard on the brakes after a while into the download, resulting in super fast startups and somewhat slow progress thereafter...This regardless of the file I tried to download setup, .avi, .mp4, .mp3 etc. Perhaps something went wrong in the code? I urge the developer to look into this and come back with a point release that remedies the symptom..

RIGHTAFTERTHIS  Wow, nice li' piece of software. Seeing some comments indicating various issues, I paused before downloading... but it worked like a charm on my first try. Note to those getting the "no video or connection" screen: are you on the page of the specific YouTube video you're trying to download? Make sure you're not parked on a page featuring multiple videos (such as a search result) or GetTube won't know which video you want. As to the query about where the downloads are going, click the little Settings icon when you first fire up GetTube. It'll show you that location, and allow you to change it as well. Neato!

SHAWNY92  I have downloader GET TUBE at least 5 different times and each time it doesn't work. Once I transfer GET TUBE into my applications I try to open it and nothing happens. I also trying to put GET TUBE in my dock. Once I click on it to open it it bounces 2 or 3 times and then NOTHING happens .. I really want this app can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me !?
